Abstract: To form a sufficiently large storage capacitor, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel having a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal held between the first substrate and the second substrate, the liquid crystal display panel having multiple pixels arranged in matrix. The first substrate has, in a transmissive display area provided in each of the pixels, a laminated structure containing a first transparent electrode, a first insulating film, a second transparent electrode, a second insulating film, and a third transparent electrode which are laminated in this order. The first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode are electrically insulated from each other and together form a first storage capacitor through the first insulating film, and the second transparent electrode and the third transparent electrode are electrically insulated from each other and together form a second storage capacitor through the second insulating film.

Abstract: A driving method of a light emitting device includes that the light emitting device has a plurality of pixels and performs gray-scale display in sections of the sub-frame periods in which one frame period for displaying one frame image is divided into a plurality of sub-frame periods. The driving method includes writing analog gray-scale data to the plurality of pixels to display analog gray-scales in one sub-frame period of the plurality of sub-frame periods, and writing first digital gray-scale data to the plurality of pixels to display first digital gray-scales in a sub-frame period of the same length as the one sub-frame period, and in a sub-frame period different from the one sub-frame period.

Abstract: A color display device comprises an array of a plurality of sub-pixels including a red sub-pixel, a blue sub-pixel, a first green sub-pixel and a second green sub-pixel. Abstract: A detection device includes: a sensor in which detection elements each including a photoelectric conversion element are arranged in a detection region; a drive circuit configured to supply drive signals to the detection elements; and a detection circuit configured to process a detection signal output from each detection element. A potential obtained by superimposing a threshold voltage of the source follower transistor and a voltage drop caused by on-resistance of the read transistor on a reset potential serving as a reference value for a voltage variation amount of the detection signal is set as an initial value of a potential applied to the photoelectric conversion element.
