摘要： Systems and/or methods for the monitoring and/or control of thermal sanitization in automated cleaning machines are described. A cleaning machine controller may predict a number of heat unit equivalents that will be delivered during a cleaning process based on a sump temperature difference (i.e., a change in the temperature of the cleaning solution in the sump) experienced at or near the beginning of the cleaning process. One or more cleaning process parameters may be adjusted and/or controlled based on the sump temperature difference in order to ensure that a target number of heat unit equivalents are delivered in order to achieve thermal sanitization of the wares subjected to the cleaning process.

摘要： A system for dispensing a detergent solution from a solid detergent into a dishwasher includes a dispenser that can collect water sprayed into the dishwasher and use the collected water to produce the detergent solution by dissolving a portion of the solid detergent, controlling the amount of the detergent solution produced, and releasing the produced detergent solution between cleaning cycles. The dispenser can perform these functions automatically without being electrically powered.

摘要： Inhibitor compositions for abating undesirable polymerization during processing of hydrocarbon stream laden with reactive vinylic monomers are provided. The polymerization inhibitor compositions include at least a first inhibitor compound having a stable nitroxide radical and a second inhibitor including phenylenediamine. Methods of inhibiting the polymerization of monomers using the compositions of the disclosure are also provided. The methods of inhibiting polymerization of monomers include a step of adding a composition of the disclosure to the monomer. In some instances, the monomer is an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. Such ethylenically unsaturated monomers include, but are not limited to, vinyl acetate, acrylonitrile, acrylates, methacrylates, 1,3-butadiene, styrene, isoprene, (meth)acrylic acid, and combinations thereof. Methods of preparing the polymerization inhibitors and compositions of the disclosure are also provided.

In particular, the scale inhibition properties of percarboxylic acids of varying chain lengths including C1-C22 provide effective scale inhibition and scale removal or destruction. Methods of employing peroxycarboxylic acid compositions for scale inhibition and/or removal are particularly well suited for treating fluids intended to flow through pipes, namely in the energy industry, water and paper industries, etc. The methods provide suitable scale inhibition replacements and/or additives to known scale inhibitors.

摘要： Biocide can be controllably added to a feed stream for a membrane. The membrane can separate the feed stream into a purified permeate stream and a concentrate stream containing contaminants from the feed stream. In some examples, a charge neutral biocide is introduced into the feed stream at a first addition rate. The concentration of the charge neutral biocide in the permeate stream is measured to provide a measured concentration of the charge neutral biocide in the permeate stream. The addition rate of the charge neutral biocide can be adjusted based on the measured concentration of the charge neutral biocide in the permeate stream to introduce charge neutral biocide into the feed stream at a second addition rate different than the first addition rate.

摘要： A filtration-free liquid sampling system may be used to extract particulate or debris-containing liquid samples that may otherwise plug a filter over its service life. For example, such a system may be used to extract liquid sample from an industrial textile washer to monitor and/or validate the quality of wash conditions within the washer. In some examples, the system includes a pump that creates a vacuum on a backstroke, drawing liquid into a sensor housing positioned between the pump and the washer. After holding the liquid in the sensor housing long enough to measure its properties, the pump can be driven in a reverse stroke to pressurize the contents in the sensor housing and force the liquid back into the washer. This vacuum fill/pressure purge can keep the sensor housing free of debris.
