Abstract: A communication system, includes a satellite receiver in operable communication with a central server, a cellular node configured to operate within a proximity of the satellite receiver, and at least one mobile communication device configured to communicate (i) with the cellular node, (ii) within the proximity of the satellite receiver, and (iii) using a transmission signal capable of causing interference to the satellite receiver. The satellite receiver is configured to detect a repeating portion of the transmission signal and determine a potential for interference from the at least one mobile communication device based on the detected repeating portion.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for a decision directed multi-modulus searching algorithm are described. A receiver may receive a signal including a set of data symbols. The receiver may iteratively determine a set of centroids for demodulating the set of data symbols (e.g., as part of a training procedure). The centroids may be used to demodulate the set of data symbols according to a modulation constellation associated with the set of data symbols. The training procedure may include, for each data symbol of a subset of data symbols, assigning a centroid of the set of centroids to each data symbol and updating the set of centroids based on assigning the centroid to each data symbol. The receiver may demodulate the set of data symbols based on the updated set of centroids.

Abstract: A wireless communications system includes a feedback processing unit for analyzing captured bandwidth data from a remote radio head, and a problem-type processor in operable communication with the feedback processing unit. The problem-type processor is configured to (i) analyze the captured bandwidth data to determine whether the captured bandwidth data presents one of a computational polynomial time problem and a non-deterministic polynomial-time hard (NP-hard) problem, and (ii) transmit problem-specific data based on the determination. The system further includes a communications processor in operable communication with the problem-type processor. The communications processor is configured to process polynomial time problem data from the transmitted problem-specific data. The system further includes a quantum computer in operable communication with the problem-type processor. The quantum computer is configured to process NP-hard problem data received from the transmitted problem-specific data.

Abstract: A method for reducing latency during handover of user equipment (UE) between wireless base stations includes (a) receiving, at a network hub in an edge communication network, a first wireless signaling message from a source wireless base station, (b) determining, from the first wireless signaling message at the network hub, occurrence of a handover of UE from the source wireless base station to a target wireless base station, (c) in response to determining occurrence of the handover, translating, at the network hub, an address of first data packets intended for the UE from an address of the source wireless base station to an address of the target wireless base station, and (d) forwarding the first data packets from the network hub to the target wireless base station.

Abstract: A profile optimizing method is provided for a downstream channel transmission of active subcarriers to user devices. The method includes steps of receiving channel measurement data from each user device for each subcarrier, calculating a maximum bit-loading value for each user device per subcarrier, grouping the user devices into a plurality of clusters based on a proximity of the maximum bit-loading values of a first user device to those of a second user device within the particular cluster, assigning each user device within the particular cluster to a single cluster profile. A plurality of single cluster profiles for the plurality of clusters forms a set of cluster profiles. The method further includes steps of determining a channel capacity ratio for the set of cluster profiles, and combining at least two single profiles of the set of cluster profiles into a coalesced profile pair.

Abstract: A method for detecting a channel occupancy time declared by an interfering device in a wireless communication system includes (a) receiving a first radio frequency (RF) transmission from a base station at a user equipment (UE) device, (b) detecting failure to receive a second RF transmission from the base station at the UE device, and (c) in response to detecting the failure to receive the second RF transmission from the base station, causing the UE device to operate in a sleep mode. Another method for detecting a channel occupancy time declared by an interfering device in a wireless communication system includes (a) receiving a first RF transmission from a base station at a UE device, (b) detecting, at the UE device, an interfering RF transmission, and (c) in response to detecting the interfering RF transmission, causing the UE device to operate in a sleep mode.
