摘要: An imaging module includes an imaging chip including a micro-lens guiding incident light and an imaging element in a semiconductor substrate and converting the incident light into an electric signal, and a polarizing glass chip including a polarizing filter glass having a polarizer determining a polarization direction of the incident light arranged on a transparent substrate such that the polarizer faces the micro-lens and a spacer member connected to the polarizing filter glass to adjust a gap between the polarizer and the micro-lens of the imaging chip. In the imaging module, a melt-bonding surface of the spacer member is melt-bonded to the semiconductor substrate such that the polarizer of the polarizing glass chip and the micro-lens of the imaging chip are arranged close to each other via the gap, and the imaging element and the micro-lens of the imaging chip are sealed by the polarizing glass chip.

摘要: This invention enables the full-body (throughout the entire thickness) scribing of a plate made of fragile material such as glass by irradiating the work with the laser beam for heating with or without cooling and thereby generating the tensile thermal stress in the work which exceeds the cleavage toughness of the material, dispensing with the mechanical breaking. In this invention, the absorption of the beam in the work is so controlled that the beam, while being absorbed in it, is either transmitted through it or reaches the adequate thickness of the work and the entire thickness scribing is realized. This absorption control is done by selecting the laser beam wavelength so as to achieve the proper absorption in the absorption spectra of the material either due to the electronic transition or the lattice vibration. The doping of the material, in which the commercially available high power laser beam can be absorbed properly and either of the absorption or emission in the visible light spectral range does not exist, can also be utilized for this absorption control. In this case, the quenching of the fluorescence which may arise after the beam absorption is useful. This invention enables the profile scribing of work or the selective scribing of piled work consisting of plural number of plates.

摘要: The object is to provide an optical recording method improving the recording characteristics and uniformity in a CAV recording on a phase-change optical recording medium, particularly a high-speed rewritable DVD medium, and a phase-change optical recording medium and an optical recording apparatus used by the method. Regarding a recording method for recording on the phase-change optical recording medium where a recording light comprises a pulse string of heating and cooling pulses, and a light for erasing, an irradiation power is controlled by peak power (Pp), bottom power (Pb) and erase power (Pe), at least any one of Pe/Pp, Pp, Pb and Pe is variable from the minimum to maximum recording linear velocities allowed for the medium, and further the irradiation time of each pulse is varied proportionally with clock T corresponding to a recording linear velocity, the present invention provides an optical recording method which performs a recording by varying at least Pe/Pp from a specific recording linear velocity lower than a peculiar recording linear velocity at which the recording linear velocity degrades abruptly showing a local maximum value, and an optical recording medium and an optical recording apparatus used by the method.
