摘要: A method of generating and allocating codewords includes allocating one of two selectable codewords b1 and b2 as codeword “b” when a preceding codeword “a” and a following codeword “b” form a code stream X, in which the codewords b1 and b2 have opposite INV values which are parameters indicating whether the number of ‘1s’ contained in a codeword is an odd number or an even number. When the code stream of the preceding codeword “a” and the following codeword b1 is X1, and when the code stream of the preceding codeword “a” and the following codeword b2 is X2, the codewords are allocated such that the INV values of X1 and X2 are maintained to be opposite when the preceding codeword “a” or the following codeword b1(b2)(b1 or b2) should be replaced by another codeword in compliance with a predetermined boundary condition given between codewords. The codewords are allocated so that a DC suppression capability of the code stream can be maintained.

摘要: A method and apparatus detecting binary data, the apparatus includes an analog-to-digital (AD) converter converting the input analog signal into a digital signal; at least one binarization unit converting the digital signal into binary data; a viterbi decoder performing viterbi decoding to detect binary data from the digital signal; and a level detector receiving the digital signal, receiving at least two binary data from one of the viterbi decoder and the at least one binarization unit, and detecting and outputting a level value for the viterbi decoding from the digital signal when a number of the at least two binary data, which correspond to each other on a time axis and have the same values, is equal to or greater than a predetermined number. Accordingly, it is possible to more precisely detect binary data from an analog signal.

摘要: A centrifugal extractor for extraction of an organic phase from a liquid mixture, such as liquid radioactive wastes, is disclosed. In the centrifugal extractor, both the separating weir and the divert disk are designed to be adjustable in their vertical positions. The extractor, thus, desirably separates the organic phase, including usable elements in addition to chemically toxic high radioactive elements, from the aqueous phase and desirably controls the reaction time of the two phases regardless of a variation of the mixing ratio and the rotational speed of the two phases. In the centrifugal extractor, a liquid suction and rotation unit sucks and rotates the liquid mixture and separates the organic phase from the aqueous phase while controlling the reaction time of the two phases. A height-adjustable separation weir unit is designed to locate the separating weir at a boundary layer between the two separated phases. A housing unit supports the suction and rotation unit and provides the path of two separated phases to the outside of the extractor.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a gas mask canister using a HEPA filter media having plastic separating plates inserted into between HEPA filter media at certain intervals. The HEPA filter, impregnated activated carbon, and a pre-filter are accommodated within a cylinder. The cylinder is inserted into a canister having an upper portion and a lower portion detachably coupled together. The impregnated activated carbon, the plastic separating plates and the casing of the canister can be reused, and the rest of elements are burned. A vinyl coating sheet is peeled off from the canister after each use. An indexing tab for recording the number of times of peeling is attached on each of vinyl coated sheets, so that the number of uses can be known.

摘要: A power management apparatus includes an electric device including a plurality of operation algorithm information and power information for each operation level corresponding to each operation algorithm information, and a power management unit to receive power rate information from a power provider, determine an operation level of the electric device on the basis of the received power rate information and power information for each operation level of the electric device, and control an operation of the electric device at the determined operation level. As a result, the power management apparatus performs different operation algorithms according to power rate information, and controls power consumption of the electric device, such that energy efficiency at the user side can be maximized. In response to the changed power rate information, the currently-driven electric device and the electric device to be driven can be driven at the optimum operation level appropriate for their power consumption characteristics.

摘要: Body-mounted cameras are used to accurately reconstruct the motion of a subject. Outward-looking cameras are attached to the limbs of the subject, and the joint angles and root pose that define the subject's configuration are estimated through a non-linear optimization, which can incorporate image matching error and temporal continuity of motion. Instrumentation of the environment is not required, allowing for motion capture over extended areas and in outdoor settings.
