The apparatus includes: a server which extracts feature information and meta data of entire screen or partial region of each scene-image of multimedia to generate image index information, and then obtains and provides search result images and meta data having feature information similar to feature information of image query information by searching the image index information, when image query information is received; and a set-top box which plays multimedia, wherein when a user issues a request for searching an arbitrary for the playing multimedia, the set-top box extracts feature information of the entire or partial region of the image to generate the image query information and transmits the image query information requesting for searching the image by using the extracted feature information to the server, and after that, when the search result images and meta data are provided from the server, browses the search result images and meta data on a display apparatus. Disclosed is an irradiation method which includes addition of vitamin C during sterilization of bone restorative demineralized bone matrix (DBM) with irradiation, so as to inhibit reduction of physical properties of a carrier containing DBM caused by irradiation and protect DBM formable bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) from irradiation. The method according to the present invention can provide bone restorative materials with more excellent stability and effectively controlled modification of physical properties by employing a sterilization process accompanied with addition of vitamin C during irradiation.

The present invention relates to a vaccine composition for the prevention and treatment of allergic disease comprising irradiated ovalbumin as an effective ingredient, more precisely a method for preparing an immunogen of a vaccine for the prevention and treatment of allergic disease using the irradiated ovalbumin which is separated and purified from the albumen of an egg, a vaccine composition for the prevention and treatment of allergic disease comprising the irradiated ovalbumin as an effective ingredient, and a method for the prevention and treatment of allergic disease using the vaccine comprising the irradiated ovalbumin. In the mouse vaccinated with the irradiated ovalbumin, humoral and cell mediated immune responses were both reduced, suggesting that allergic reaction was inhibited. Thus, the composition of the present invention can be effectively used as a vaccine for the prevention and treatment of allergic disease.

Also, the power transmission apparatus can be made safer and less noisy for not only automatic operation by the motor but also manual operation by a user, while the gear module, motor, etc., can be protected from excessive loads.

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of kimchi with shelf stability and high quality under the severe environment, more precisely, a manufacturing method of kimchi with shelf stability and high quality under the severe environment such as desert, alpine regions, poles and space which includes the step of irradiation after heating, gas exchange packaging and quick freezing. The manufacturing method of kimchi of the present invention reduces the chances of deterioration of the sensory quality and physicochemical characteristics caused by the conventional sterilization methods including high temperature and high pressure treatment and high dose of irradiation, so that kimchi produced by this method has excellent shelf stability under the severe environment.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for realizing all-optical NOR logic device using the gain saturation characteristics of a semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA). More particularly, the invention relates to a 10 Gbit/s all-optical NOR logic device among all-optical logic devices, in which a signal transmitted from a given point of an optical circuit such as an optical computing circuit is used as a pump signal and a probe signal.The method for realizing an all-optical NOR logic device using the gain saturation characteristics of the SOA according to the present invention comprises the steps of: utilizing A+B signal which couples together an input signal pattern A (1100) and an input signal pattern B (0110) as a pump signal (1110); utilizing a probe signal (1111) by generating a clock signal out of said input signal pattern A (1100); and obtaining a Boolean equation {overscore (A+B)} by making said probe signal and said pump signal incident upon the SOA simultaneously from the opposite direction.The all-optical logic device according to the present invention has a simple construction since it is realized through the XGM (Cross Gain Modulation) method which utilizes the gain saturation characteristics. Also, it is expected that the method employed in the present invention could be used for realizing other all-optical logic circuits and devices.

A MOS transistor having a recessed gate electrode and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The MOS transistor includes an isolation layer formed at a predetermined region of a semiconductor substrate to define an active region and double trench regions |formed in the active region. The double trench region is composed of an upper trench region crossing the active region and a lower trench region located under the upper trench region. Thus, the active region is divided into two sub-active regions. Sidewalls of the upper trench region are covered with a spacer, which is used as an etching mask to form the lower trench region in the semiconductor substrate of the upper trench region. The upper and lower trench regions are then filled with a gate electrode. Also, high concentration source/drain regions are formed at the top surfaces of the sub-active regions respectively. Therefore, an effective channel length of the MOS transistor is determined according to the dimension of the lower trench region.
