    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure include a support frame having a rear side, a bottom section, a connector bracket, a first perimeter section, a second perimeter section, and a rotatable bracket. The bottom section defines a width of the support frame. The connector bracket extends upright from the bottom section. The first perimeter section and the second perimeter section extend upright from opposing ends of the bottom section. The first perimeter section and the second perimeter section are substantially parallel to the connector bracket. The rotatable bracket is rotatably coupled at one end to the first perimeter section. The rotatable bracket is configured, at another end, to removably couple to the connector bracket, thereby enclosing an opening when the rotatable bracket is in a closed configuration. The opening is defined by the first perimeter section, a portion of the bottom section, the connector bracket, and the rotatable bracket.

    Abstract: A release mechanism is disclosed that can facilitate safely and efficiently removing an expansion card from a computing device. The release mechanism can be installed on a motherboard around an expansion slot, and can include an opening that permits access to the expansion slot to allow an expansion card to be installed therein. When removal of the expansion card is desired, a handled of the release mechanism can be pulled, causing contact surfaces of the release mechanism to push the expansion card away from the expansion slot with even force, removing the need to tilt the expansion card.

    Abstract: A computer chassis includes walls defining an airspace containing heat-generating components (e.g., storage drives). The airspace is divided into first and second regions, such as by a printed circuit board supporting the heat-generating components within the first region. An air input feeds both the first region and second region. Input air going through the first region first passes by a forward set of heat-generating components before continuing to a rearward set of heat-generating components to extract heat therefrom. Input air going through the second region bypasses the forward set of heat-generating components before being directed out through an air opening partway down the length of the chassis, after which this air passes by a rearward set of heat-generating components to extract heat.

    Abstract: An integrated latch apparatus for a securing and releasing computer equipment from a chassis includes a support bracket, a rotating shaft, a sliding plate having a latching extension, and a handle having a rotating end. The handle is secured at the rotating end to the support bracket about the rotating shaft. The rotating end of the handle includes nudging extensions. A torsion spring is disposed on the rotating shaft such that the torsion spring biases the support bracket against the handle such that the handle is in an open position when the torsion spring is extended towards an equilibrium state and in a closed position when the torsion spring is biased toward a fully compressed state. The nudging extensions engage and laterally move a sliding plate when the handle is rotated between the open position and the closed position.

    Abstract: A power supply system includes a housing having a top cover with a cutout portion formed near a rear end thereof. The cutout portion is configured to mechanically receive, one at a time, either a first bracket or a second bracket to be coupled to the top cover. The first bracket is configured to accommodate a first power supply component. The second bracket is configured to accommodate a second power supply component of a different type than the first power supply component. Each of the first bracket and the second bracket has a length and/or a width greater than a length and a width, respectively, of the cutout portion. Each of the first power supply component and the second power supply component is either a conventional power supply unit, or a busbar adapter sled configured to electrically connect with a busbar cable that supplies power from a remote power source.
