In a gas turbine blade (41), cooling channels (410) provided in the interior thereof include a plurality of straight channel-like base-side elongated holes (401a) that extend in a longitudinal direction at a base side of the turbine blade (41), a plurality of straight channel-like tip-side elongated holes (410b) that extend in a longitudinal direction at a tip side of the turbine blade (41), and a plurality of communicating hollow portions (410c) that are interposed at connection portions between the two types of elongated holes (410a, 410b) to individually allow the two types of elongated holes (410a, 410b) to communicate with each other and that have larger cross-sectional areas than the channel cross-sectional areas of both elongated holes (410a, 410b). In addition, the communicating hollow portions (410c) are formed so as to match the position of a platform portion (413) of the turbine blade (41).

    摘要: A gas concentration measuring apparatus for use in air-fuel ratio control of automotive engines is designed to determine the concentration of oxygen within a wide and a narrow range using a sensor current flowing through a sensor element. The apparatus includes an amplifier circuit equipped with an operational amplifier and a plurality of amplifying resistors and a switch. The switch is responsive to a request signal to switch a relation in electrical connection between an operational amplifier and the amplifying resistors to distribute the amplifying resistors into an input resistor and a feedback resistor for the operational amplifier to change an amplification factor of the amplifier circuit. This results in a change in resolution of measurement of the concentration of oxygen, thereby ensuring enhanced accuracy in determining the concentration of oxygen in a selected one of the narrow and wide ranges.

    摘要: A gas concentration measuring apparatus is provided which may be employed in measuring an air-fuel ratio of mixture sucked into automotive engines. The apparatus includes a gas concentration sensor exposed to a gas and a voltage applying circuit. The gas concentration sensor is responsive to application of voltage to produce a current signal indicative of concentration of the gas. The voltage applying circuit includes an operational amplifier which operates on a source voltage and which outputs the voltage for developing the voltage applied to the gas concentration sensor which has a level changing as a function of voltage inputted to the operational amplifier. The operational amplifier is designed to have an amplitude of each of the voltages inputted to and outputted from the operational amplifier which falls within a given input/output voltage range defined between an upper limit and a lower limit of a source voltage range and near at least one of the upper and lower limits of the source voltage range, thereby allowing the air-fuel ratio to be measured with higher accuracy over a wide range.

    摘要: The accuracy of determination of a possibility of collision of a vehicle with an object is enhanced without the shortening of a period for detection of the object by an object detecting apparatus. A collision-possibility determining device determines the presence or absence of a possibility of collision of the vehicle with the obstacle by comparing a future locus of movement of the obstacle determined by an obstacle locus determining device based on an output from a radar device, with a future locus of movement of the vehicle determined by a vehicle locus determining apparatus based on outputs from wheel speed sensors and a yaw rate sensor. The period of the detection conducted by the radar device providing data about the obstacle to the obstacle locus determining apparatus is 100 msec, but the obstacle locus determining apparatus, the vehicle locus determining apparatus and the collision-possibility determining apparatus carry out the determination of the possibility of collision at a determination period shorter than the detection period of 100 msec. Thus, it is possible to carry out the determination of the possibility of collision at the shorter determination period without use of a large-sized and expensive radar device, thereby enhancing the determination accuracy.

Thus, the time taken for the subject vehicle to come into contact with the object is short or the speed of the subject vehicle at which it will come into contact with the object is high. Therefore, the air bag expansion possibility estimating means estimates that there is a possibility of the air bag expanding.
