The functional module has an interface surface on one side surface, to which both of a signal line and the power line are connected. Each interface surface is divided into a first interface area in which a signal line terminal connected to the signal line is placed, and a second interface area in which a power line terminal connected to the power line is placed. The plural functional modules are adjacently arranged such that the interface surfaces face in a same direction, the first interface areas are located on one end side in common, and the second interface areas are located on the other end side in common.

One implementation of a carburetor may have a fuel bowl in which a supply of fuel is received for delivery from the carburetor to an engine, and may include a valve rotatably supported by a body, an operating lever coupled to the valve, and a stopper. The operating lever may move the valve between a running position in which fuel flows through the valve in a first direction and into the fuel bowl, a stop position in which fuel does not flow either into or out of the fuel bowl through the valve, and a drainage position in which fuel flows in a second direction out of the fuel bowl through the valve. The stopper may be moveable between a non-permissive state in which the operating lever is not permitted to move in a first direction from one of the running position and the stop position to the other position, and a permissive state in which the operating lever is allowed to move in the first direction.

The transformer has a primary member and a secondary member, so that a voltage is applied on the primary member and a high voltage is output from the secondary member. In the lamp socket, an opening portion is provided in a barrier that separates the transformer receiving section and the circuit board receiving section, so that the primary member extends from the transformer receiving section to the circuit board receiving section. The opening portion is closed with a part that holds the primary member.

A trench IGBT is disclosed which includes a semiconductor substrate having formed therein a set of cell trenches formed centrally and a set of annular guard trenches concentrically surrounding the cell trenches. The cell trenches receive cell trench conductors via cell trench insulators for providing IGBT cells. The guard trenches receive guard trench conductors via guard trench insulators for enabling the IGBT to withstand higher voltages through mitigation of field concentrations. Capacitive coupling conductors overlie the guard trench conductors via a dielectric layer, each for capacitively coupling together two neighboring ones of the guard trench conductors. The capacitive coupling conductors are easily adjustably variable in shape, size and placement relative to the guard trench conductors for causing the individual guard trench conductors to possess potentials for an optimal contour of the depletion layer.

A semiconductor device has an N type diffusion layer between an insulating layer formed on the surface of a trench and an N type semiconductor region. An N type impurity is diffused in the N type diffusion layer so as to have a concentration gradient in a direction that connects a source electrode and a drain electrode. By having the N type diffusion layer, the semiconductor device can have a favorable depletion layer produced therein when a reverse-direction voltage is applied, and can reduce leak current. Thus, the semiconductor device has a favorable voltage withstand characteristic.
