    摘要: A method for mounting a thinned semiconductor wafer on a carrier substrate for further processing is disclosed. The method consists of a series of steps, which is based on providing a frame with a double-side tape to mount the thinned wafer on the carrier substrate. The frame is used to support the double-side tape and can be designed to fit the conventional production line for holding, picking and transferring wafers. The carrier substrate can be a sapphire substrate, a quartz substrate or other substrates that can sustain further processing, such as thermal treatments and/or chemical etchings. The method of the present invention not only prevents possible damages to the highly brittle chip after wafer thinning, but also fits the conventional production line for processing semiconductor wafers.

The described double-sided backlight may illuminate either the primary display or the secondary display. The disclosed backlight includes two light sources, each used to direct light in opposite directions from the double-sided backlight. The light guide of the backlight is configured to direct light from the first light source in a first direction to exit the light guide via its first face, and to direct light from the second light source in a second direction different from the first direction to exit the light guide via its second face.

    摘要: The invention provides a coating composition that provides high brightness, high gloss and superior print quality. The coated product comprises a substrate coated on at least one side with a coating composition comprising a pigment component and a binder component that is made of mixture of two binder resins. Both binder resins are capable of film forming. The first binder resin provides coating gloss and adhesion properties and the second binder resin enhances coating porosity, adhesion, and anti-static properties. The first binder resin that is used at 60-95% by weight of the total binder resin blend is selected from the group consisting of vinyl acetate acrylate, styrene acrylate and styrene butadiene acrylic copolymers. The second binder resin that is used at 5-40% by weight of the total binder resin blend is selected from the group consisting of anion type polystyrene derivatives, polyethylene glycol and polypropylene glycol.

    摘要: A two-way trans-reflective display pixel (100) having two viewable sides (102, 104) is disclosed. The two-way trans-reflective display pixel has a first transparent layer (106), a second transparent layer (108), and light modulating medium (110) sandwiched between them. Both the first and second transparent layers (106, 108) have light reflectors (132, 136) and light absorbers (130, 134), which allow light entering from either viewable sides (102, 104) to partially reflected, partially absorbed, and partially transmitted, allowing an image to be viewable from both viewable sides (102, 104). A two-way trans-reflective display (402) comprising a plurality of two-way trans-reflective display pixels (100) and a transparent light source (412) is also disclosed. The transparent light source (412) provides color light, and enables an image from the two-way trans-reflective display (402) to be viewable in color from both first and second viewable sizes (418, 602).
