摘要: A tape cassette of this invention is equipped with a memory capable of accommodating management information. The memory retains an MIC logical format type designating a format state, either formatted or unformatted, of the magnetic tape. A check is made on the consistency between the format state designated by the MIC logical format type and the format state estimated by reading data from the magnetic tape. If an inconsistency is detected, that is interpreted to mean that the tape cassette has been tampered with, and read and write operations on the cassette are controlled accordingly. This enhances security against fraudulent uses of a tape drive system loaded with the tape cassette.

摘要: As described above, according to the present invention, original data that is input as records is compressed. The compressed data is temporarily stored in the buffer memory and then recorded on the magnetic tape. When data is recorded, it is determined whether or not the buffer memory overflows. When the determined result represents that the buffer memory overflows, the value of the counter is dynamically changed. Thus, the buffer memory can be prevented from overflowing. The compressed data is recorded as entities and recorded to each group. The BAT flag that represents the type of the entity is added. When data is reproduced, it is determined whether the last entity of the current group is an entity that continues to the next group or an entity that is completed in the current group. When the last entity continues to the next group, the next group is accessed. When the last entity is completed in the current group, no further accessing operation is performed. Thus, the reproducing process can be effectively performed.

摘要: A solar cell module including two or more adjacent solar cells (1a, 1b), a connection member (2) for electrically connecting the solar cells (1a, 1b) to each other, and a solder layer (5) disposed between the solar cells (1) and the connection member (2), wherein first and second opening holes (4a, 4b) are formed at a connection portion of the connection member (2) corresponding to the first and the second solar cells (1a, 1b), the first and the second opening holes (4a, 4b) are configured that solder is deposited into them, and first and second protruding parts (3a, 3b) are formed at a part of the outer periphery of each of the first and second opening holes (4a, 4b) of the connection member (2). By the present invention, it is possible to ensure sufficient thickness of the solder joining layer and to improve reliability for long-term use.
