摘要: A light emitting device, comprises: a light source that emits excitation light; a light guide that propagates the excitation light, and in which the refractive index of the center part (core) of a cross section is higher than the refractive index of the peripheral part (cladding); a wavelength conversion member that absorbs the excitation light propagated by the light guide and converts the wavelength thereof, and releases light of a predetermined wavelength band; and a shielding member that blocks the wavelength of at least part of the excitation light and the light emitted from the wavelength conversion member.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a light emitting device includes: a first step of forming on a supporting substrate made of a stainless steel, a plurality of conductive members each including a first region containing Au and a second region containing a metallic member having a diffusion coefficient with respect to a metal in the stainless steel smaller than a diffusion coefficient of Au with respect to the metal in the stainless steel, a second step of forming a base member made of a light-blocking resin on the supporting substrate between the conductive members, a third step of bonding a light emitting element on an upper surface of a conductive member through an adhesive member, a fourth step of covering the light emitting element with an optically transmissive sealing member, and a fifth step of removing the supporting substrate and individually separating the light emitting devices.

摘要: There is provided a light emitting device using an optical component capable of emitting light having a wavelength different from that of light exit from an optical fiber and obtaining light of high output, and capable of being easily attached to an end of the optical fiber. The optical component includes an optical fiber holding member for holding an optical fiber, a light conversion member, and a cap having an inner hole allowing the light conversion member and the optical fiber holding member to be inserted into and an engagement part with an opening for engaging inserted members at one end of the inner hole. The light conversion member inserted into the inner hole of the cap is fitted into the inner hole with the optical fiber holding member pressed against the engagement part. The opening of the engagement part is smaller than a maximum diameter of the light conversion member.

摘要: Provided is a wavelength converting device having excellent optical output.The wavelength converting device includes a substrate and a wavelength converting member disposed on the substrate. The wavelength converting member includes a fluorescent material powder and a binder binding the fluorescent material powder. An upper surface of the wavelength converting member serves as a light emitting surface which includes upper surfaces of the fluorescent material powder and an upper surface of the binder. The binder has first recesses formed adjacent to the fluorescent material powder in the upper surface of the binder.
