The present invention relates to a process for preparing a calcium-phosphorus-apatite, essentially characterized by admixing a single solvent of water or an organic solvent compatible with water or a mixed solvent of water with an organic solvent compatible with water with calcium and phosphorus compounds soluble in said single or mixed solvent to prepare a raw material solution, and atomizing the raw material solution into a flame or a heating zone for effecting a thermal decomposition reaction thereof to form a calcium-phosphorus-apatite; a calcium-phosphorus-apatite obtained by the process and having novel characteristics; and the use of the calcium-phosphorus-apatite as a chromatographic packing material.

In a method of measuring the forming error of an object with a shape which is optically smooth and can be expressed mathematically, the reflected light from the object and the reflected light from a reference mirror are made to interfere to form an interference fringe, and the forming error is calculated from the potential distribution of the interference fringe. This calculation of the forming error is performed by calculating the phase distribution W(x,y) of a virtual object beam which is reflected from the measuring surface on the basis of the design values of the shape of the object to be measured when there is no forming error.

An oil groove is formed circumferentially on an inner surface of at least the upper half bearing. There are provided circumferential grooves formed by boring machining on the overall inner surfaces of the half bearings. Each of the circumferential grooves existing in circumferential both end regions has a larger cross-sectional area than the grooves existing in other regions receiving predominantly operational load when the crankshaft rotates. The upper half bearing is chamfered at a front inner end edge with respect to a rotational direction of the crankshaft supported by the sliding bearing, and the lower half bearing is also chamfered at an inner end edge adjacent to the above front inner end edge, an area of the respective chamfered portion being the same as the 0.15 mm to 0.4 mm length chamfer corner area.
