    摘要: A system and methodology that facilitates efficient utilization of bandwidth on a transmission link between a base station and a core mobility network, during content delivery is provided. Moreover, the system includes a data storage device, adjunct to, or integrated within, the base station for storing content locally. Typically, the data storage device is updated by downloading content from the core network at an optimal time. For example, content can be downloaded to the data storage device when the core network-to-base station link is idle, under utilized and/or has sufficient bandwidth for the download. On receiving a request for content from a user equipment (UE), the base station can directly deliver the content to the UE from the data storage device, over an air interface, when the requested content is locally available.

    摘要: A document processing device having an evaluation region disposed along a transport path between an input and output receptacle capable of processing both currency bills and identification cards. An evaluation unit enables entry of source identification information before or after processing currency bills. Memory is adapted to store source identification information for multiple batches of currency. Multiple batches are placed in the processing, device for multiple batch processing. The evaluation region includes detectors for detecting predetermined characteristics of currency bills and distinguishing identification cards from currency. During processing, the identification card, or other separator card, is sent to a predetermined output receptacle designated as a reject receptacle. Currency that is rejected is sent to the reject receptacle. Rejected currency is separated into batches by the identification cards sent to the reject receptacle during processing.

    摘要: A method and apparatus featuring the compression and decompression of the video image data on a single application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) which utilizes typical Huffman coding techniques, but which defines a run count generally as a plurality of zeros between each pair of ones and which further uses a prediction window having substantially no directional biasing errors associated therewith. Additionally, the compression/decompression apparatus of this invention utilizes a reordering technique whereby all of the "high confidence" predictions are placed in one end of the buffer and all the "low confidence" predictions are placed in another end of the same buffer. This reordering, together with the unbiased window configuration and associated run length count definition, allows for high efficiency lossless compression and decompression of associated image data.
