In a memory system comprising a NAND flash memory and a controller which controls the memory, the memory system storing data provided from a host to the NAND flash memory, the data writing method comprises a steps of specifying a column address in which a column failure which has occurred in the NAND flash memory by the controller, and a step of, during writing into the NAND flash memory, writing data of a first logic level into a memory cell which corresponds to the specified column address regardless of write data provided from the controller.

摘要： A plurality of vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser devices each having a different lasing wavelength are arrayed by a simple structure and a manufacturing process without increasing device resistance. Each vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser device comprises a layered structure including an active layer and a current confinement layer. The area of current confinement portion in the laminate structures is set corresponding to a wavelength of laser light emitted from each vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser device. Thereby, the plurality of vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser devices emits laser light with different lasing wavelengths.

摘要： An optical disc apparatus includes position restricting component for restricting the position of a unit mechanism portion in a disc plane direction when the unit mechanism portion is in a raised state. The position restricting component includes a first portion that restricts the position of a base of the unit mechanism portion when the base is at a height position for write or read of information to or from an optical disc and a second portion that cancels the position restriction on the base of the unit mechanism portion in the disc plane direction or makes the position restriction easier than in the first portion when the base is at a height position corresponding to a chucked portion of the optical disc onto the turntable. At the height position where the optical disc is chucked the position restricting component makes the turntable displaceable in the disc plane direction so that the axis of the turntable becomes nearly coincident with the center of a center hole formed in the optical disc.
