摘要: In the case that the user takes out the disc and uses the disc as a single unit, a history of taking out the disc is left in the disc cartridge, and in a state that the user does not positively perform a handling of the disc such as a movement of the disc between the disc cartridges, a history of taking out the disc is not left in the disc cartridge. A cartridge of the invention is provided with locking means for locking an insertion and removal port opening and closing member which opens and closes a disc insertion and removal port, and locking cancellation preventing means for preventing the locking means from canceling the locking.

摘要: A disk is moved between disk cartridges without being in touch with the disk. Therefore, movement of the disk between the disk cartridges is carried out via a disk holder. Further, when the disk is moved between the disk cartridges, disk information of the cartridge is also moved simultaneously. Accordingly, the disk information held by the disk cartridge is provided at a disk holder portion and the disk information can be read by other disk device. Further, the disk holder is provided with a region representing information of the disk. When it is made to be a label region, in moving the disk between the disk cartridges, also the disk information held by the disk holder can simultaneously be moved. Further, even when the disk cartridge incorporates the disk, the content of the disk can easily be recognized via the disk holder. Further, a user can arbitrarily write or erase content of the disk to or from the label region, the disk is recognized easily and easiness of use is considerably promoted.

摘要: A packet processing and packet transfer scheme capable of reducing the packet processing overhead by eliminating a need to decrypt and re-encrypt the entire packet at a time of relaying encrypted packets. In a packet processing device for relaying encrypted packets, a packet transferred to the packet processing device is received, where the packet has a packet processing key to be used in a prescribed packet processing with respect to a data portion of the packet, and the packet processing key is encrypted by using a first master key shared between a last device that applied a cipher communication related processing to the packet and the packet processing device. Then, the packet processing key in the received packet is decrypted, without carrying out the prescribed packet processing with respect to the data portion of the packet, and the decrypted packet processing key is re-encrypted by using a second master key shared between a next device to apply the cipher communication related processing to the packet and the packet processing device. Then, the packet with the re-encrypted packet processing key encoded therein is transmitted toward a destination of the received packet.

摘要: A packet transfer scheme for realizing a control of a packet inspection device to pass only packets from those mobile computers that can be recognized as authenticated among non-management target mobile computers that had moved inside the network, to outside the network. A packet inspection device judges whether a passing of a packet transmitted from a mobile computer other than own management target computers to outside the own network is permitted or not, according to a mobile computer identification information contained in the packet, and sends a message indicating a refusal of the passing of the packet to the mobile computer when the passing of the packet is judged to be not permitted; and then transfers the packet when the passing of the packet is judged to be permitted; and also checks whether a user information regarding a user of the mobile computer satisfies a prescribed condition or not, upon receiving a message requesting a key information for generating the mobile computer identification information from the mobile computer, and returns a requested key information to the mobile computer when the user information satisfies the prescribed condition.

摘要: A packet authentication and packet encryption/decryption scheme for a security gateway suitable for a hierarchically organized network system and a mobile computing environment. For the packet authentication, in addition to the end-to-end authentication at the destination side packet processing device, the link-by-link authentication at each intermediate packet processing device in the packet transfer route is used. The link-to-link authentication data being inspected by intermediate nodes and end-to-end data (different from link-to-link data) being inspected by destination node but not being inspected by intermediate nodes. For the packet encryption/decryption, each packet processing device determines whether or not to encrypt/decrypt the packet according to: an information on the computers which are directly managed by this packet processing device; or the encryption information and the signature information provided in the packet; or the encryption information, the signature information, and the encryption/decryption level information provided in the packer.

摘要: A floating type composite magnetic head includes a head core fixed to a slider formed of nonmagnetic material. In the head core, a pair of magnetic core halves are abutted against each other with nonmagnetic material such as SiO.sub.2 or the like interposed therebetween. The first and second magnetic core half members have first and second gap forming surfaces to be abutted against each other to define a magnetic gap (g), respectively. A first groove is formed on the second gap forming surface. A glass layer is formed in the first groove. A first thin film including a ferromagnetic metal thin film is selectively formed on the first gap forming surface. A second thin film including a ferromagnetic metal thin film is selectively formed on the second gap forming surface so that at least a portion except the surface of the glass layer in the second gap forming surface is exposed. A second groove is formed on the exposed second gap forming surface adjacent to the first groove. The first and second magnetic core half members are abutted and bonded with glass so that the first and second gap forming surfaces face each other so that the first and second thin films are abutted with SiO.sub.2 or the like interposed therebetween to define a magnetic gap (g). Causes of occurrence and an increase of false gaps are suppressed and a decrease in manufacturing yield due to separation of thin films or the like can be prevented.
