摘要： An ink jet recording head includes a substrate having an element surface provided with energy generating elements, a ceiling plate provided with a grooved surface having grooves to become ink passages, the grooved surface and the element surface being bonded to form the ink passages, a base plate for supporting the substrate from the side opposite the element surface, and an ink supply member in contact with the base plate at a contact portion and having an ink flow path wall face to be communicated with the ink passage. The base plate and the ink supply member pinch the substrate and the ceiling plate at the contact portion as a fulcrum so as to enable the base plate to press the substrate from the side opposite the element surface, and the ink supply member to press the ceiling plate from the side opposite the grooved surface.

摘要： In a manufacturing method of a liquid jet recording head, an element substrate for the liquid jet recording head having an energy generating element for generating energy utilized to discharge a liquid from a discharge port, and a roof plate having a concave portion as a passage of the liquid communicated with the discharge port are joined to each other such that the energy generating element and the concave portion correspond to each other. The passage is formed by this joining. The element substrate is manufactured by including a process for cutting a substrate for cutting-out a plurality of the element substrates from its one face side by a cutting blade and forming a cutting groove in the substrate and a process for traveling a cutting blade so as to trace the cutting groove from the other face side of the substrate.

摘要： An ink jet cartridge comprises an ink jet head unit for discharging the ink, and an ink tank unit having an ink supply port for supplying the ink to the ink jet head unit. The ink tank unit has a partition portion for partitioning between an ink storing portion for storing the ink to be supplied to the ink jet head unit and a negative pressure generating member receiving portion having a negative pressure generating member. The ink supply port is provided on the negative pressure generating member receiving portion. The partition portion has an ink communicating portion at an end portion of the partitioning portion on the side of the negative pressure generating member receiving portion where the ink supply port is provided, and makes contiguous the ink storing portion and the negative pressure generating member receiving portion in a movement direction of the ink tank unit when discharging the ink.
