摘要: A method and apparatus for sensing and measuring stress waves. The method comprises the steps of: a.) sensing motion, where the motion comprises a stress wave component and a vibration component; b.) separating the stress wave component from the vibration component with a high pass filter to create a signal proportional to the stress wave; c.) amplifying the signal to create an amplified signal; d.) processing the amplified signal with a sample and hold peak detector over a predetermined interval of time to determine peaks of the amplified signal over said predetermined period of time; e.) creating an output signal proportional to the determined peaks of the amplified signal; and, f.) repeating steps d.) and e.). The invention also includes an apparatus for implementing the method of the invention.

摘要: A retention and rotation assembly includes a first support having a first bore that extends along an axis AA. A lug is received in the first bore and is rotatable relative to the first support about the axis AA. The assembly includes a second support having a second bore. An inside surface of the second bore is engageable with an outside surface of the lug, the second support is fixed relative to the lug about the axis AA when second support is engaged with the lug. A locking element extends through a bore in the lug and into at least a portion of the second support. A rotation of the locking element in a first direction about the axis AA increases a friction between the lug and the first support thereby inhibiting rotation of the lug relative to the first support about the axis AA.

摘要: An energy management circuit (100) for use with one or more rechargeable cells (201) is capable of prohibiting discharge in response to temporal or other inputs. In one embodiment, a control circuit (102) applies a control signal to a discharge control node (105) when a charging current is applied for less than a charging duration threshold. The control signal causes a discharge disconnect switch (202) to open. In another embodiment, the control circuit (102) applies the control signal to the discharge control node (105) after failing to detect a charging current for at least a non-charging duration threshold. Discharge can again be allowed by applying a charging current for at least a reset duration.
