Abstract: Pipe handling and laying apparatus 1 supports a pipe on holding and a support 2,3 and includes extendible and a retractable gripping member 4 having gripping head 4a. The pipe, supported generally within area A, is brought in end-to-end relationship with another pipe to be joined thereto. Gripper head 4a is introduced into the open end of the second pipe and ram piston P of hydraulic ram H is retracted causing legs L of gripper head 4 to pivot into extended positions to grip the interior wall of the second pipe by means of gripper feet F. Abstract: A rail clamp assembly that improves the mechanisms whereby a rail is secured to the rail clamp assembly comprising a mounting base having a diagonally and generally elliptical-shaped channel formed therethrough and further comprising a clamp member. The clamp member has a diagonally formed throughway formed therethrough. The clamp member is received by the mounting base such that the throughway of the clamp member is aligned with the channel. The clamp member further comprises a protrusion which is received within a slot of the rail and the mounting base comprises a protrusion which is received within an adjacently situated slot of the rail. A side wall of the mounting base and an inclined surface of a flange of the clamp member are configured to engage with an inclined surface of the rail to further secure the rail to the assembly.

Abstract: A dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device. The dispense interface comprises a main outer body and an inner body. The inner body may be configured for connection to a drug delivery device and defines a first reservoir and a second reservoir. A first piercing needle is in fluid communication with the first reservoir and positioned for piercing a first cartridge of a drug delivery device. A second piercing needle is provided and in fluid communication with the second reservoir and positioned for piercing a second cartridge contained with a drug delivery device. A manifold is positioned adjacent the inner body and comprises a fluid groove arrangement. A valve arrangement is positioned between the inner body and the manifold and controls fluid communication of a first fluid contained in the first cartridge and a second fluid contained in the second cartridge by way of the fluid groove arrangement to a holding chamber. The dispense interface may further comprise a lockout preventing dispense interface reuse.

Abstract: A medicated module (4) for an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device containing a primary medicament accepts a medicated module (4) containing a single dose of a secondary medicament and where both medicaments are delivered through a hollow needle (3). The medicated module (4) does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir (22) containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a biasing member (48) automatically activates the reservoir (22) when the needle guard (42) is retracted. The needle guard (42) prevents accidental needle sticks before and after an injection, and locks after dose delivery.
