In the novel valve, a valve seat body of simple design that can be made economically is used. The valve seat body (16) is made from sheet metal by stamping and deep drawing and has a cup shape with a bottom (19) of the seat body and an annular edge (20) of the seat body. A valve seat (24) is formed in the bottom (19) of the seat body. An injection port disk (34) is joined by welding to the valve seat body (16). A gap disk is therefore disposed downstream of the injection port disk in the longitudinal opening of the valve housing with a slight axial spacing; the gap disk defines a recess in the axial direction which exerts a capillary action outward in the radial direction upon the fuel emerging at the injection ports. By disposing a capillary disk between the injection port disk and the gap disk, the capillary action can be optimized by means of corresponding contours in the capillary disk. The fuel injection valve is particularly suited for fuel injection in mixture-compressing engines with externally supplied ignition.

A connecting element serves for fixing the injection valve in position axially on the pipe connector of the fuel distributor device and also for fixing it in the circumferential direction. The connecting element, which is constructed as a plastic clip, includes a disc-shaped, circular ring-shaped base element with an inner opening through which the inflow-side end of the injection valve runs in the installed state, the disc-shaped base body being positioned in a circumferential groove of the injection valve. The base element includes two legs which can be closed or opened by means of a locking connection. Locking elements extend perpendicularly to the plane of the base element and ensure that the injection valve is fixed in position axially on the pipe connector, and fixed in the circumferential direction, by virtue of a fixing lug which engages around and behind, respectively.

In the novel apparatus, however, an elastic sealing element is disposed in the direction of the longitudinal valve axis between the valve end of the fuel injection valve and an end of the base portion of the gas enveloping sleeve that faces the valve end. This sealing element lessens the danger of deformation of and damage to a perforated body, having injection ports, of the fuel injection valve at the valve end and makes it possible to compensate for production and installation tolerances. The proposed apparatus for injecting a fuel-gas mixture is especially suitable for mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.
