Abstract:
A balanced plug valve having substantially reduced shut-off force requirements due to an integral dual seating arrangement of the valve plug within a valve housing having slanted inlet and outlet ports and wherein the inlet port forms an elliptical opening for fluid control which is selectively exposed by a cylindrical portion of a sliding valve plug.
Abstract:
In a connection of a shaft rod to a side strut of a heddle shaft there is at least one guide surface provided in or on the shaft rod. The guide surface extends substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft rod. The guide surface engages with a positive fit to a second guide surface extending along a projection of the side strut substantially parallel to the shaft rod or perpendicular to the side strut.
Abstract:
An image stabilizing device for optical equipment has at least one force exerting drive element for the compensation of vibrations acting on an optical arrangement in the optical equipment from its surroundings in at least one direction perpendicular to the optical axis. The force exerting drive elements is a linear motor. The image stabilizing device is installed in or on the optical equipment.
Abstract:
A process for breaking down organic substances and/or microbes in pretreated feed water for high-purity recirculation systems using ozone which is generated in the anode space (5) of an electrochemical cell (3) and treated with ultraviolet rays and/or with H.sub.2 (8) generated in the cathode space (6) of the same cell (3) or H.sub.2 (20) supplied from outside. The latter is used to reduce elementary oxygen in any form to harmless water. Post treatment via mixed bed (14) and filter (15). Possibility of feeding back water (19) downstream of the receiver (17). No harmful reaction products.
Abstract:
The feed water for a reverse osmosis device (7) is treated, by means of ozone, by being passed through a mixing vessel (4), in which the charging with ozone is carried out, a direct contact time container (5), and a residual-ozone destruction vessel (6) into the reverse osmosis device (7). At the permeate outlet (9) of the latter, part of the stream is branched off and fed, for charging with ozone, into an electrolysis cell (2) which is provided with a solid electrolyte, and fed back into the mixing vessel (4).
Abstract:
Compounds which in the form of the free acids correspond to the formula ##STR1## where A is a radical of a diazo component or of an amine,B is a radical of a coupling component or of an aldehyde,R.sup.1 is chlorine or bromine,R.sup.2 is methoxy or ethoxy,X is .dbd.N-- or .dbd.CH--,Y is --O-- or --COO-- andZ is --O-- or --NH--,are dyes which are very suitable for dyeing nylons and natural polyamides.
Abstract:
Reactive dyes which in the form of the free acids correspond to the general formula ##STR1## where A is fluorine, chlorine or bromine,B is hydrogen, chlorine, methyl, methoxy, ethoxy, hydroxysulfonyl or carboxyl,R is carboxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, carbamyl, N-mono- or N,N-di-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl- or -hydroxyalkyl-substituted carbamyl, carbopiperidide, carbopyrrolidide or carbomorpholide andR.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by cyano, hydroxyl or carboxyl, phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by methyl, ethyl, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, amino, trifluoromethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, cyano, phenoxy, acetyl, methylsulfonyl, benzoyl, phenylsulfonyl, acetylamino, nitro, hydroxyl, carboxyl, carbamyl, 2-benzthiazolyl or sulfamyl, or naphthyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by hydroxysulfonyl. The novel compounds are particularly suitable for dyeing cellulose-containing textile materials, polyamides and leather.
Abstract:
An intermediate support in engagement with heddle carrying rods of a weaving heddle frame includes a body member having end loops at opposite ends for engagement with the rods, at least the body being of vibration absorbing material, and the end loops engaging the rods but without being fixedly secured thereto. The end loops are spaced apart for maintaining a constant spacing of the rods, and the intermediate support is capable of being laterally shifted along the rods to accommodate the positioning of the weaving heddles therealong.
Abstract:
A warp stop motion device of a weaving machine has upper and lower supports respectively for contact bars and guide bars lying in transversely spaced vertical planes with vertically extending legs thereon having adjustment and locking means to facilitate a clamped vertical adjustment between the upper and lower supports. The lower supports are cantilevered at one end to a longitudinally extending beam serving as a warp end carrying support, and the upper supports are cantilevered at one end to the one end of the lower supports. Thus, the opposite ends of the upper and lower supports are free and unsupported for the reception of the guide bars from such ends during assembly.
