摘要: Frequency division multiplex signal lights are propagated through an optical fiber, and polarizations of the lights are collectively controlled by a polarization controller. The polarization-controlled signal lights are received separately in receiving systems including optical heterodyne or homodyne receivers. In the collective polarization control, a step is selected from steps of controlling relative polarization states of local oscillation lights to coincide to each other, receiving a control signal from one of the receiving systems which receives a signal light of a frequency to be allocated in the center of a frequency band of the signal lights or the vicinity thereof, and dividing the frequency division multiplex signal lights into plural groups, thereby controlling polarizations collectively in each of the plural groups. One of the polarizations of the signal lights may be orthogonal to the others, and one of the polarizations of the local oscillation lights may be orthogonal to the others correspondingly.

摘要: In a navigator for use on a road vahicle, a memory is responsive to an external switch operation to preliminarily store any specific point on a map and a controller is responsive to the generation of a move command to move a cursor indicative of the present position of the vehicle to the specific point stored in the memory. In this way, by preliminarily entering any specific point into the memory, it is possible to easily set the position of the vehicle to the stored specific point.

摘要: Bit lines connected to each nonvolatile memory cell are selected by corresponding selective transistors. A first drive circuit for driving the gate of one of the selective transistors receives a voltage selected by a first voltage switch, and a second drive circuit for driving the gate of the other selective transistor receives a voltage selected by a second voltage switch. A transistor constituting the first drive circuit is different in structure from a transistor constituting the second drive circuit.

摘要: A damper device includes an inner part having a cylindrical shape; an outer part including an annular space with a bottom to rotatably or relatively rotatably house the inner part from one cylinder end side; and a viscous fluid filled in the annular space. An outer side of the inner part is formed with a circular groove to fit an outside seal ring. Also, an inner side of the inner part is formed with a circular step surface positioned closer to the one cylinder end side than the circular groove, and positioning an inside seal ring. A depth of the circular groove has a dimension approximately half a thickness of the inner part at a portion forming the circular groove.
