    摘要: A high frequency signal switching unit includes a printed circuit board accommodated in the casing and having a ground layer formed on substantially one entire surface thereof. Input and output terminals are mounted on the casing, and a high frequency relay is mounted on the printed circuit board for switching between the input terminal and the output terminal. The high frequency relay has a plurality of relay contact terminals and a grounding terminal. A plurality of coaxial cables having respective internal and external conductors connect the input and output terminals to the relay contact terminals. The grounding terminal of the high frequency relay and the external conductors of the coaxial cables are connected to the ground layer of the printed circuit board, while each of the internal conductors of the coaxial cables is connected to one of the relay contact terminals of the high frequency relay.

    摘要: In a library apparatus, plural recording media are received in respective, assigned slots in a tray movable between a closed position within a housing and, selectively, in a first mode to a fully opened position affording access to all of the slots and respective, assigned recording media therein and, in a second mode, to a mail slot access position affording access to a mail slot into which an individual recording medium is selectively inserted or removed. In an insertion operation of the second mode and with a recording medium present in the mail slot in the closed position of the tray, an accessor conveys the recording medium from the mail slot, designated as a source location, to a respective slot of the tray assigned to the recording medium and designated as a destination location thereof and, in an ejection operation of the mail slot mode, conveys the recording medium from the assigned slot of the tray designated as a source location to the mail slot, designated as a destination location. The controller, further, controls the accessor to convey a selected recording medium from the respective assigned slot in the tray to a driving unit for recording and reproducing operations on the specific recording medium and, thereafter, to return the specific recording medium to the assigned slot.

    摘要: An optical disk library apparatus equipped with a function of automatically cleaning an optical head in a drive unit. This optical disk library apparatus comprises a cartridge entry/eject mechanism for entering an optical disk cartridge into the library apparatus and ejecting the optical disk cartridge from the library apparatus. Also included is a cell unit having a plurality of cells each for holding the optical disk cartridge therein, a drive unit having an optical head to record data on and/or to reproduce the same from the optical disk cartridge, and outputting a head cleaning request signal on the basis of information relative to soil of the optical head, and an accessor for carrying the optical disk cartridge among the cartridge entry/eject mechanism, the cell unit and the drive unit. The optical disk library apparatus further includes an accessor control means for controlling the accessor to carry a cleaning cartridge from the cell unit to the drive unit in response to a head cleaning request signal obtained from the drive unit. When a cleaning request signal is outputted, the optical head is automatically cleaned by the use of the cleaning cartridge carried by the accessor.

    摘要: A device for controlling cell arrangement having a pattern composed of a cell adhesive surface and a cell non-adhesive surface, which has a good selectivity of cell adhesion and which can provide a fine pattern of cells in high resolution by culturing cells in a usual manner. The device is prepared by a process which comprises applying a photosensitive, cell adhesive or cell non-adhesive polymer to a surface having a reverse cell adhesivity property to that of the applied polymer, and patternwise irradiating a light to the photosensitive polymer layer followed by development; a process which comprises patternwise irradiating UV or radiation to a cell non-adhesive surface to produce a cell adhesive functional group such as carboxyl group or amino group in the irradiated portion; or a process which comprises patternwise irradiating UV or radiation to a cell adhesive or non-adhesive surface made of plastics to produce a polymerization initiation site in the irradiated portion, and graft-polymerizing at least one monomer having the reverse cell adhesivity property to the plastic surface to produce a polymer on the irradiated portion of plastic surface.

    摘要: A miniaturized electromagnet has an enhanced armature attraction force and reliable armature movement. The electromagnet comprises an L-shaped flat magnetic plate of magnetic material with a horizontally extending core and a first yoke leg depending from one end of the core. An excitation coil is wound around the core. A second yoke member is formed separately from the magnetic plate into a plate configuration and is coupled secured at its upper end to the other end of the core so as to depend therefrom in an opposed relation to the first yoke leg. The lower end portion of the second yoke leg is bent toward the first yoke leg to define thereat a pole plate extending parallel with the core. An armature extends in a parallel relation to the core and is magnetically coupled at its one end to the first yoke leg and is pivotally supported adjacent thereto such that the armature is pivotable within a horizontal plane between set and reset positions of having the pole end attracted to and spaced away from the second yoke leg in response to the energization and deenergization of the excitation coil, respectively. With the provision of the pole plate extending toward the first yoke leg, the armature can be made to have a correspondingly reduced effective length and equivalent mass, whereby the armature can have an increased magnetically attraction force for reliable electromagnetic operation.

    摘要: A compound semiconductor pellet has a zincblende crystal structure and is formed of a III-V compound semiconductor, such as GaAs. The major surface of the pellet and side surfaces thereof are both {100} planes. To obtain this type of pellet, [010] and [001] directions are selected as dicing directions. In the case of a crystal having a zincblende crystal structure, a direction which forms 45.degree. with reference to a cleavage plane of the crystal is selected as a dicing direction.
