Abstract:
Keys of a keypad are configured to exhibit a wave-like vertical profile across a width of the keypad, thereby improving user comfort. Keys on the edge of the main grouping are raised, with the height of adjacent keys gradually reduced until a minimum (trough) is achieved. The height of the further adjacent keys is then increased until a maximum (peak) is achieved. In accordance with one embodiment, the keyboard includes two key troughs separated by an intervening raised key portion. The key troughs are positioned at the approximate location of hands resting on the home row of keys, for example in the case of a QWERTY keypad at the “D” key and at the “K” or “L” keys. The continuous, flowing change in the vertical profile of the keycaps renders the keyboard more accessible to the natural, relaxed state of the human hand, easing physical strain.

In one embodiment the present invention provides for a method for checking the alignment of a stator core that comprises placing a laser source 14 and a target 18 a given distance apart on a stator core 10 and activating the laser such that the laser strikes the target. Then measuring on the target where the laser strikes, and interpreting the measurement to determine any misalignment of the stator core in the given distance.
Abstract:
A pressure sensor system includes a pressure sensing capacitor and an inductor integrated in a substrate. The pressure sensing capacitor includes a conductive diaphragm for detecting a pressure differential and an electrode separated from the diaphragm by a predetermined gap formed in the substrate. The inductor and pressure sensing capacitor form a passive inductive-capacitive (LC) tank circuit. A remote interrogation circuit, inductively coupled to the pressure sensor inductor coil, can be utilized to detect changes in resonant frequency of the LC tank wirelessly. The fully integrated pressure sensor structure is manufactured utilizing layer-by-layer fabrication techniques.
Abstract:
A torque sensor packaging system and method includes a torque member that includes one or more holes formed therein for receiving one or more respective fasteners associated with a sensing element. The sensing element can be connected to the torque member to the sensing element in order to transfer torque associated with the torque member to the sensing element for torque sensing operations thereof.
Abstract:
A surface acoustic wave die system and method are disclosed herein, including a surface acoustic wave sensor comprising one or more surface acoustic wave die disposed and hermetically sealed between a base and a cover. An adhesive is generally for securing one or more of the surface acoustic wave die to the base, which is configured with a pattern of cross hatches formed thereon in order to permit the adhesive to adhere to the base. The adhesive is placed under a location wherein surface acoustic wave die is to be located. The surface acoustic wave die is thereafter pressed into the adhesive, whereby upon a subsequent curing of the adhesive, the surface acoustic wave die is held securely in place, while remaining flexible as required by sensing applications associated with the surface acoustic save sensor.

Abstract:
Gallium nitride material transistors and methods associated with the same are provided. The transistors may be used in power applications by amplifying an input signal to produce an output signal having increased power. The transistors may be designed to transmit the majority of the output signal within a specific transmission channel (defined in terms of frequency), while minimizing transmission in adjacent channels. This ability gives the transistors excellent linearity which results in high signal quality and limits errors in transmitted data. The transistors may be designed to achieve low ACPR values (a measure of excellent linearity), while still operating at high drain efficiencies and/or high output powers. Such properties enable the transistors to be used in RF power applications including third generation (3G) power applications based on W-CDMA modulation.
