Abstract:
An electronic camera includes: an image capturing device that performs photoelectric conversion on a subject image formed by a photographic optical system and outputs image data; an image display device that displays an image based upon the image data; a first storage device achieving a first access speed; a second storage device achieving a second access speed lower than the first access speed; and a control device that, if image data for display are present in the first storage device when an image reproduction mode for displaying the image based upon the image data at the image display device is set, displays an image based upon the image data in the first storage device at the image display device, and if the image data for display are not present in the first storage device, displays an image based upon image data in the second storage device at the image display device.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus records image files on a recording medium. The image recording apparatus automatically selects disused files and automatically deletes them at the appropriate timing. A storage device acquires an image file from, e.g., an imaging component or an external terminal and records the image file together with time information on a recording medium. A controller monitors the recording area of the recording medium and automatically deletes image files for which the time information is old in accordance with the monitored usage status of the recording area.
Abstract:
A video apparatus includes a memory in which image information denoting a moving image is recorded and a thumbnail creator that creates thumbnail information denoting thumbnails upon completion of recording of the image information in the memory. The apparatus also includes various types of user interfaces by which a user can designate frames of the moving image information for thumbnail creation.
Abstract:
An electronic camera displays recorded information, such as image frames, to permit the selection of items of information to be transferred to external equipment. Each time an item of information is transferred, an informative indication (e.g., an icon) is displayed in association with the transferred item to confirm the transfer and to permit an operator to select items of recorded information that may be erased. If an error occurs during transfer of a series of items, the operator can determine from the display the point at which the error occurred, avoiding the need for transferring items that have already been transferred.
Abstract:
an electronic camera includes: an image-capturing unit that creates an image by capturing an image of a subject; an enlarged image generating unit that creates an enlarged image by enlarging a portion of the image created by the image-capturing unit; an optical viewfinder that enables verification of a subject range corresponding to a range of the image created by the image-capturing unit; and a warning output unit that issues a warning when the enlarged image generating unit is in operation.
Abstract:
An image file editing apparatus avoids duplicated display of image files when image files are being displayed from multiple recording medium that are removably insertable into the apparatus. A medium drive device writes and reads files stored in the removable recording medium. A list display device obtains or creates identification information of the image file in the recording medium and displays the image file in a list using identification information. A file selection device selects an image file displayed in the list corresponding to an external operation. An editing device executes an editing operation to one or a plurality of selected image files. The image file editing apparatus can also include a medium collating device that searches for identification information from a currently-installed recording medium, and that determines whether the recording medium has already been displayed in the list. The list display device displays the image files in a newly-installed recording medium in the list, when the list display device has determined by a collation result of the medium collating device that the recording medium is a newly-installed recording medium.
Abstract:
An electronic camera with an image reproducing apparatus which starts concurrently reproducing a plurality of motion images at the same timing includes a display which displays on a screen a plurality of thumbnails (symbols) respectively corresponding to a plurality of motion images recorded on a recording medium, and a selector which selects some of the thumbnails displayed by the display in accordance with an external selecting operation. A reproducing device starts reproducing a plurality of motion images respectively corresponding to the thumbnails selected by the selector at the same timing in accordance with an external reproducing operation. The motion images reproduced by the reproducing device are displayed in the form of an array on the screen.
Abstract:
A film image signal generation apparatus according to the present invention, includes: a film displacement device which displaces a developed film, which is first in a film cartridge, to an image area; an image signal conversion device which converts an image of a film frame, which is currently opposed to the image area, into a first image signal; an image signal generation circuit which generates a second image signal for displaying a display which is not a film frame which is currently opposed to the image area; and a control circuit which controls the image signal conversion device and the image signal generation circuit so as to output the second image signal without outputting the first image signal, when a predetermined film frame is not opposed to the image area.
Abstract:
A magnetic data recording apparatus magnetically records various items of data on a film in accordance with a feed of the film by a PPM Pulse Position Modulation (PPM) recording method. The apparatus includes a PPM signal converting circuit for converting the data to be recorded into a PPM signal and outputting the PPM signal, a magnetic head and a head driving circuit for driving the magnetic head on the PPM signal outputted from the PPM signal converting circuit. The apparatus further includes a data quantity calculating circuit for calculating a quantity of the data to be recorded during a feed of the film. The PPM signal converting circuit determines a change-of-signal position of the PPM signal within one period on the data quantity calculated by the data quantity calculating circuit.
Abstract:
A camera capable of operation in continuous photography and one-frame photography modes has an automatically activated flash device the operation of which may be inhibited by the user when desired. In a preferred embodiment, when the camera is in the continuous photography mode and the user has inhibited the flash device, the inhibition of the flash device is maintained upon completion of continuous photography. One-frame photography may be performed while the camera is in the continuous photography mode, and while maintaining inhibition of the flash device, by momentary depression of the shutter release button. If the camera is operated in the one-frame photography mode and the flash device is inhibited, inhibition of the flash device is automatically cancelled after each exposure.
