摘要： A display may include switching circuitry in pixel regions to implement impulse driving. A first pixel region may include switching circuitry to provide a data voltage to the first pixel region during a first portion of a frame, and to provide an impulse voltage to the first pixel region during a second portion of the frame. In some embodiments, a display panel may include a liquid crystal capacitor, a switching element, a storage capacitor, an impulse gate line and an impulse driving element. The liquid crystal capacitor may be in a region defined by adjacent gate and data lines. The switching element transmits a data voltage to the liquid crystal capacitor based on a gate voltage. The data voltage is from the data line, and the gate voltage is from the gate line. The storage capacitor is electrically connected to the liquid crystal capacitor. The impulse gate line transmits an impulse gate signal. The impulse driving element transmits a common voltage to the liquid crystal capacitor based on the impulse gate signal. The common voltage is applied to the storage capacitor. The driving margin may be increased, and a display quality of a moving image improved.

The second subpixel includes a second switching element connected to a second gate line and the data line, a second liquid crystal capacitor connected to the second switching element, and a second storage capacitor connected to the second switching element. At least one of a ratio of capacitances between a first parasitic capacitor formed in the first switching element and a second parasitic capacitor formed in the second switching element and a ratio of capacitances between the first storage capacitor and a second storage capacitor is determined based on a ratio of the first liquid crystal capacitor and the second liquid crystal capacitor.

For example, the array substrate may include a pixel electrode, a coupling electrode and an opposite electrode. The pixel electrode may include a first sub-electrode having a plurality of first electrode bars receiving a first voltage and a second sub-electrode having a plurality of second electrode bars. The plurality of first electrode bars and the plurality of second electrode bars may be spaced apart from each other. The coupling electrode may be electrically connected to a portion of the plurality of first electrode bars, may have a plurality of opposite electrode bars and may overlap a portion of the plurality of second electrode bars to form coupling capacitor. The opposite electrode may be disposed between the plurality of first electrode bars and the plurality of second electrode bars to receive a second voltage different from the first voltage.

The pixel electrode is formed on the color filter layer in each pixel. The first light-blocking layer is formed between adjacent pixel electrodes, and includes the same material as the gate line. The second light-blocking layer is formed between the first light-blocking layer, and includes the same material as the data line. Therefore, an aperture ratio may be increased.
