The switching unit includes a first input for receiving a first driving current outputted from at least from the first driving unit, a second input for receiving a second driving current for testing the semiconductor light emitting element, and an output connected to the semiconductor light emitting element. The switching unit connects the first input or the second input to the output.

摘要： Provided is a method for driving a surface emitting semiconductor laser including an active region that generates light, a resonator structure disposed such that it sandwiches the active region, and a driving electrode that provides power to the active region. The surface emitting semiconductor laser has an internal resistance defined by voltage and current applied to the driving electrode. The method includes applying a modulation signal to the driving electrode, in which the modulation signal has a current amplitude defined by a first current value and a second current value that is greater than the first current value. The modulation signal is in a negative gradient region in which the internal resistance decreases in contrast to the increase of the current.

摘要： An optical pulse wave detection apparatus includes a light emitting element, a light receiving element, a first control unit, a second control unit, and a pulse wave detection unit. The first control unit obtains a first signal by causing the light emitting element to emit light of a first light quantity, and by causing the light receiving element to receive reflected light, which is reflected by a living organism, of the light of the first light quantity. The second control unit obtains a second signal by causing the light emitting element to emit the light of a second light quantity that is smaller than the first light quantity, and by causing the light receiving element to receive the reflected light of the light of the second light quantity. The pulse wave detection unit detects a pulse wave of the living organism based on the first and second signals.

摘要： A short-wave light transmitting diode lamp unit has a printed circuit board disposed in a housing. A plurality of short-wave light emitting diode chips is mounted on the printed circuit board so that a light emission side of the light emitting diode chip faces an opening of the housing. An outer glass as a light transmitting plate is attached to the opening of the housing. The outer glass is made of a glass material having high ultraviolet ray transmittance. The outer glass is prevented from degradation caused by the ultraviolet rays. Thus, the light output efficiency is kept in good level and long lifetime is assured. An overall structure becomes simple, thereby reducing the production costs.
