摘要: A process of using a catalyst composition to polymerize at least one monomer to produce a polymer. The process comprising contacting the catalyst composition, at least one monomer in a polymerization zone under polymerization conditions to produce the polymer. The catalyst composition is produced by a process comprising contacting at least one organometal compound, at least one solid mixed oxide compound, and at least one organoaluminum compound. The solid mixed oxide compound comprises oxygen and at least two elements selected from the group consisting of groups 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 of the periodic table, including lanthanides and actinides.

摘要: A process of making a metal aluminate catalyst support by incorporating, preferably impregnating, alumina, preferably gamma alumina, with a metal component to thereby provide a metal-incorporated alumina which is then calcined under a calcining condition to thereby provide a metal aluminate catalyst support. Such calcining condition includes a temperature in the range of from about 600° C. to about 1350° C. Preferably the metal component has been melted under a melting condition to thereby provide a melted metal component.

摘要: Particulate sorbent compositions comprising a mixture of zinc oxide, silica, alumina and a substantially reduced valence nickel are provided for the desulfurization of a feedstream of cracked-gasoline or diesel fuels in a desulfurization zone by a process which comprises the contacting of such feedstreams in a desulfurization zone followed by separation of the resulting low sulfur-containing stream and sulfurized-sorbent and thereafter regenerating and activating the separated sorbent before recycle of same to the desulfurization zone.

摘要: A method is provided for hydrovisbreaking hydrocarbon polymers, particularly those derived from scrap articles, in which a mixture of at least one hydrocarbon polymer and a solvent is contacted with hydrogen under conditions sufficient to hydrovisbreak the polymer. The solvent comprises a combined weight percentage of C.sub.n H.sub.2n-8 and C.sub.n H.sub.2n-10 hydrocarbons of at least about 10 weight percent, where n is an integer of at least 8 in C.sub.n H.sub.2n-8 and n is an integer of at least 10 in C.sub.n H.sub.2n-10. The hydrovisbroken polymer can be fed to a catalytic cracker for cracking to cracked products.

摘要: High surface aluminas are pre-calcined to form gamma-alumina. In one embodiment, the gamma-alumina is treated with an anhydrous solution of a fluorine-containing compound. In a second embodiment, alumina is precipitated in the pores of the gamma-alumina and then treated with a fluorine-containing compound. In a third embodiment a cogel of aluminum trifluoride and aluminum hydroxide is prepared. The three inventive fluorided alumina supports can be impregnated with a transition metal, preferably chromium, to form a catalyst system which can be used to polymerize mono-1-olefins.

摘要: This invention comprises improvements to processes for the catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon feedstocks. One such improvement to catalytic cracking processes provides compositions comprising metals passivating agents having an increased degree of stability. These compositions comprise aqueous suspensions of antimony by vinyl copolymers, aqueous suspensions of antimony oxide by diesters of phosphoric acid, or aqueous suspensions of antimony oxide by cellulose derivatives. Another improvement to catalytic cracking processes provides a process for reducing the viscosity of liquid suspensions of metals passivating agents without substantially reducing the stability of the liquid suspension by the utilization of at least two different particle ranges of metals passivating agents. A further improvement to catalytic cracking processes provides an efficient utilization of metals passivating agents by introducing the selected agent into the catalyst regeneration cycle of a catalytic cracking unit.

摘要: A process for preparing silica-alumina compositions comprises mixing a first aqueous solution containing an aluminum salt (preferably KAl(SO.sub.4).sub.2) and an ammonium salt (preferably (NH.sub.4).sub.2 SO.sub.4) with a second solution containing an alkali metal silicate (preferably Na.sub.2 SiO.sub.3), wherein the mol ratio of the alkali metal silicate to the aluminum salt is in the range of from about 2:1 to about 20:1, and the concentration of the ammonium salt is chosen so as to afford coprecipitation of silica-alumina hydrogel (preferably at a pH of about 3-6). The thus coprecipitated silica-alumina hydrogel can be separated from the mixture of the two solutions, optionally washed, and calcined so as to prepare acidic silica-alumina suitable as cracking catalyst material.
