    摘要: An optical code reader has of a reading window, a guide light source for guiding a two-dimensional code into a reading range outside the read window, an illumination light source for illuminating the two-dimensional code guided into the reading range, an optical system for focusing light reflected from the two-dimensional code illuminated by the illumination light source to form an image, an image sensor for sensing the image formed by the optical system, a read control circuit for reading the two-dimensional code on the basis of the sensed image, and a hand-held frame, having an opening which serves as the read window. The hand-held frame holds the guide light source, illumination light source, optical system, image sensor, and read control circuit. The optical system has a focal distance by which the image of the two-dimensional code is most clearly formed in a state where the two-dimensional code is located at a target point which is a specific distance away from the read window, and the guide light source has a group of light-emitting elements for projecting spotlight beams which intersect at the target point.

An amplifier is provided for amplifying the electric signal converted by the photoelectric device. A gain adjusting device is provided for adjusting a gain of the amplifier such that a summit level of the electric signal can be raised to a predetermined upper limit level. A digitizing device is provided for converting the electric signal amplified by the amplifier into a binary signal, using a predetermined level.

    摘要: An optical reading apparatus for reading a two-dimensional symbol includes a housing having an opening portion for confronting the symbol, a gripping portion, and a serial I/F for transmitting a two-dimensional code data corresponding to the two-dimensional symbol to an external apparatus. LEDs mounted near the opening portion generate light to illuminate the two-dimensional symbol. A mirror reflects light reflected from the two-dimensional symbol toward the gripping portion. An automatic diaphragm mechanism regulates the light from the mirror. A two-dimensional type CCD generates electrical signals corresponding to the regulated light. Image processing circuits convert the electrical signals to the two-dimensional code data.

    摘要: A communication apparatus includes a control circuit for obtaining a transmission text formed of one of a single character and a series of characters, the last of which is one of specified control characters and a character of error check data, and a radio communication unit connected to the control circuit, for storing each character of the transmission text supplied from the control circuit and transmitting the transmission text stored therein. Particularly, the control circuit is arranged to add a dummy character after the character of error check data as a new last character except in the case where the character of error check data has a value identical to the code of the dummy character. The radio communication unit is arranged to transmit the transmission text upon detecting the code of any one of the dummy and specified control characters in the transmission text.

Further the write control unit generates a write cycle reference signal having a cycle corresponding to writing resolution, counts a clock by a predetermined count value, generates a write cycle signal by delaying the write cycle reference signal by a time period, generates a data request signal to request transmission of one line of the image data to a controller unit based on the write cycle signal, and stores the one line of the image data transmitted from the controller unit.
