摘要: An inductive charging system transfers energy by inductively coupling a source coil on a power source to a receiver coil for a battery charger. Source current may be received in the battery charger and converted for charging a battery pack. A wireless communication arrangement may also provide for authentication of devices that are allowed by the source to be powered or otherwise charged.

摘要: Methods and systems for controlling optical power attenuation are provided. A method comprises periodically measuring an optical power of an optical signal received by an optical receiver and periodically measuring a first attenuation control signal voltage. When the optical power measurement is outside a target power range, the method continues with calculating a target voltage necessary to maintain the optical power measurements at a target power level; calculating a second attenuation control signal based on the target voltage, wherein the second attenuation control signal is calculated to provide an over-damped transient response that maintains the second attenuation control signal within a usable range of a variable optical power attenuator; applying a second attenuation control signal voltage based on the second attenuation control signal to the variable optical power attenuator; and adjusting attenuation of the optical signal based on the second attenuation control signal voltage.

摘要: Methods and systems for controlling optical power levels in an optical communications network are provided. In one embodiment, a system comprises means for demodulating one or more radio frequency communications signals from a modulated optical signal, wherein the means for demodulating measures an optical power level of the modulated optical signal; means for comparing the measured optical power level to one or more reference set points; means for transmitting a feedback signal, wherein the feedback signal is based on the difference between the measured optical power level and the one or more reference set points; and means for attenuating the modulated optical signal based on the feedback signal.

摘要: A trolling motor system comprises a trolling motor having a propeller rotatably driven thereby. The motor is connected to a rotating tube or column mounted to the boat. A control head is mounted at the upper end of the column. A steering motor in the control head controls rotational position of the trolling motor. The control head houses a control circuit for controlling speed of the trolling motor as well as position of the steering motor to steer the boat. A foot pedal is positioned in the boat in proximity to the control head. The foot pedal includes a plurality of user actuable switches for commanding operation of the steering motor and trolling motor. The commands are transmitted via radio frequency to a receiver in the control head. The receiver decodes the commands and transfers the command to the control circuit.

摘要: An arm-straightening device for selectively locking an arm in a straight position, so that a bowler, or the like, is prevented from bending the arm during delivery, but which automatically allows the arm to bend during follow-through. A pair of semicircular-shaped, arm-shells are pivotally connected together at adjacent end-portions. An elastic, elongated band is positioned on the rear surfaces of the two shells and held in a first, stable state by a series of pins projecting from the rear surfaces of the shells. The band, in its first state, tends to keep the shells in an aligned, rectilinear orientation to keep the arm to which they are secured straight. Upon the application of sufficient force by the lower arm, in order to bend it, the elongated, elastic band is caused to take a second, stable state that tends to bias the shells into a bent orientation to keep the arm in its bent position for follow-through, or the like. The band is kept in its second, stable state by stop-pins projecting from the rear surface of at least one shell, which stop-pins lie on the opposite side of the pivot-axis of the shells as compared to the other pins when the other pins are in the first, stable state. The first state of the elastic band and the shells is also automatically assumable by the application of sufficient torque from the lower arm tending to straighten the arm.
