The invention relates to an adsorption filter material (1) that provides protection against chemical toxins, chemical weapons and pollutants, with a preferably multi-layer composite construction (2). The layer construction (2) includes at least one planar support layer (3) with two opposing sides (3′, 3″) and an adsorption layer (4), provided on the support layer (3) made from a material which adsorbs chemical toxins, the surface of at least one of the both sides (3′ and/or 3″) of the support layer (3) being modified by plasma treatment. The surface properties, in particular the surface finish and the surface reactivity can be adjusted and optimised to match the application by means of the plasma treatment.

The adsorptive filtering material is particularly useful in NBC protective materials of any kind (as in protective apparel for example) and for producing filters.

The spray gun includes a high-pressure gas heater which has a pressure vessel through which gas flows and a heating element situated in the pressure vessel, as well as a mixing chamber in which particles can be admixed with the gas through a particle feed. A Laval nozzle is arranged downstream in the direction of flow of the gas and consists of a convergent section, a nozzle throat and a divergent section. The high-pressure gas heater and/or the mixing chamber is/are at least partially insulated on the inside in the areas of contact with the gas.

The present invention relates to a storage unit for gases, in particular a sorptive storage, with the storage unit comprising a sorbent for the reversible uptake of the gases to be stored and the sorbent being based on discrete sorptive particles. The sorptive particles are embedded in a solid gas-permeable three-dimensional support having a foam structure and/or are fixed thereto. The storage unit is particularly suitable for the storage of combustible or fossil gases, e.g. hydrogen, natural gas and the like, and thus as gas storage unit in power stations and motor vehicles.

The aim of the invention is to damp or suppress oscillations (≦back-attack≧ effect) in sidewall or base blowing converters, used in particular to produce carbon steel or stainless steel. To achieve this, the gas supply system (3) for the converter comprises an inflow restrictor device (7), which is positioned upstream of or associated with the jets (5) and which periodically reduces or interrupts the gas supply to the interior of the furnace.
