    摘要: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of contacts received in the insulating housing. Each contact has a first terminal and a second terminal which has a base portion and a leading arm extending from said base portion. Said base portion and a leading arm define a receiving space for receiving said first terminal. The leading arm has at least one mating bender protruding into said receiving space. The mating bender has a smooth convexity on an inner surface of said receiving space for mating with the first terminal, which alleviates the abrasion between said first terminal and said second terminal and brings a stable connection between the first terminal and the second terminal.

    摘要: A test connector (1) includes a base (10), a cover (20), a metallic stiffener (70), two operating members (60), and a lid (30). An opening (703) is defined in the stiffener for receiving the cover therein. Two spaced projections (704) are formed on one end of the stiffener. Two receiving grooves (705) are defined in bottoms of the projections respectively. Each operating member comprises a first operating lever (601) engaged with the receiving grooves via a first shaft (603), and a second operating lever (602) engaged with the base. The lid is engaged with the operating members for pivotably moving the first and second operating levers so that the operating members actuate the stiffener and the cover to move. When the cover moves to make the terminals connect a CPU during applying an unduly force on the lid, the metallic stiffener can protect the plastic cover from damage.

The cover has guiding protrusions (56A) mated with guiding grooves (72A) of the plates, respectively. The guiding grooves each include first and second parts (705A, 707A) communicated smoothly with each other. A center line of the first part departs radially offsetly from a center point of the plate so that either of opposite sides of the first part can urge the guiding protrusion therein to make the cover move relative to the base between open and close positions. A center line of the second part has an arc shape whose center point is the center point. Thus, neither of opposite sides of the second part can actuate the guiding protrusion and the cover is kept immovable in the close position when the lid is over-urged.
