摘要: A method and apparatus for setting up a data communication connection to a mobile terminal (terminal B). The calling terminal (terminal A) sends a connection request to a connecting means in the mobile telecommunications network. The connecting means transmits a paging signal to terminal B. Terminal B responds by originating a call to terminal A so that a connection is set up through the network without passing the connecting means. The content information (e.g. voice data) between the two terminals is sent and received without the extra time delay associated with passing through the connecting means, which occurs when the content information must be sent via the connecting means. Also, the connecting means is used more efficiently, since it is not burdened with receiving, processing, and transmitting a relatively large amount of content information from the many connections established between terminals.

摘要: A system has a number of managing systems managing a number of managed systems including a number of managed objects of one or more different types representing resources. The managed objects are arranged in a management information tree structure. Type data on managed objects is stored and algorithms are used to provide information on mapping between managed objects and resources and/or information about sub-trees of the naming tree.

摘要: It is presented a method for detecting potential displacement of a wireless transceiver connected to a machine-to-machine device. The method comprises the steps, executed in a displacement detection server, of: receiving an updated radio environment message from the wireless transceiver, the radio environment message comprising updated radio characteristics of at least two radio cells, the updated characteristics being measured by the wireless transceiver; determining whether the updated radio characteristics differ significantly from previous radio characteristics of a previous radio environment message from the wireless transceiver; and when it is determined that radio characteristics differ significantly, sending a displacement indication message to a device management server, the displacement indication message indicating potential displacement of the wireless transceiver. Corresponding displacement detection server, host device, computer program and computer program product are also presented.

摘要: A Proxy Unit is connectable to a communication network and is arranged to enable IP Communication with a Machine to Machine Unit. The Proxy Unit receives and stores in a session data base a first IP address a device identifier and a unique ID of the Machine to Machine Unit. The Proxy Unit then receives from a Machine to Machine application a message destined to the Machine to Machine Unit and comprising the unique ID of the Machine to Machine Unit. The Proxy Unit finds the associated device identifier and the first IP address in the session data base, using the received unique ID. If the Proxy Unit detects no active session for the Machine to Machine Unit, it uses the device identifier to send a wake up message to the Machine to Machine Unit for enabling IP communication.

摘要: The embodiments of the present invention provide a solution for simplifying data transmission between a mobile device and a static destination address. This is achieved by introducing a new network node referred to as a VPC connector. The VPC connector is associated with a gateway of the operator network such as a GGSN. The VPC connector has access to a static first mapping between a subscriber identity associated with the mobile device and a static destination address to which the data from the mobile device should be sent. In order for the gateway to be able to route data from the mobile device to the correct static destination address, the gateway sends a dynamic second mapping between a temporary IP address of the mobile device and the subscriber identity associated with the mobile device to the network node referred to as the VPC connector. When the GGSN receives data from the temporary IP address of the mobile device, the GGSN requests information of the VPC address to which the GGSN should route that data. Since, the VPC connector can identify from which IP address the data is received, the VPC connector can then retrieve the VPC address by using the static first mapping and the dynamic second mapping.

摘要: A method of allowing a data connection between a first node attached to a private IP network and a second node external to the private IP network and connected to a public IP network. The method comprises allocating a private network IP address, a hostname, and a service name to said first node, the service name associated with a service provided by the first node. A gateway allocates a unique public network side port number to the first node. A mapping between the private network IP address and public network side port is included in a connection table. Records are installed in a Domain Name System of the public IP network that include: a service record defining said hostname and public network side port number as the location for said service name; and an address record defining a public IP address of said gateway as the location for said hostname.

摘要: A method and arrangement for providing updated information on the availability of multimedia options to terminal users. A first terminal (A) is initially engaged in a voice call with a second terminal (B) by using a first access (100) admitting simultaneous multimedia communication. At least one available multimedia option (104,106) is indicated based on capabilities of the first and second terminals. A change of connection is then detected from the first access to a second access (200) not admitting simultaneous multimedia communication. In response thereto, a multimedia disabling notification is sent to the second terminal, and said at least one multimedia option is indicated as being no longer available (204,206). Preferably, the multimedia disabling notification is sent as an SMS message.

摘要: A method, a system, a server, and a computer program product are provided for Multimedia Capability discovery of different user terminals. Unnecessary use of the radio interface is avoided based on a network storage, which is accessible without registration to find out about the calling as well as the called user's multimedia capabilities during a voice call. If there is a positive capability discovery result out of this for both users, the system sends a message to each of the user terminals that they should notify the users, e.g., by displaying an icon above a soft button. There is no need for establishing a packet switched session, which uses a lot of radio interface signalling, until the Multimedia Service capability of both subscribers and their user terminals is investigated and responded to both user terminals and their users.
