    Abstract: The wireless control system includes a wireless adapter and a household electrical appliance. The wireless adapter includes a wireless module transmitting/receiving wireless signal, a wireless control unit analyzing and converting the wireless signal and controlling the wireless adapter, and a wireless display unit displaying wireless communication state by the wireless signal. The household electrical appliance includes an appliance control unit communicating with the wireless adapter and controlling the household electrical appliance, an appliance storage unit storing wireless setting and wireless state of the wireless communication, an appliance display unit displaying stored content of the appliance storage unit, and an appliance operation unit receiving request for the wireless setting from user by a user operation, and the appliance control unit controls power consumption of the wireless module and the wireless display unit based on the wireless setting stored in the appliance storage unit from startup time of the wireless adapter.

    Abstract: A mobile terminal device is connected to a network using a packet routing function of another mobile terminal device. Communication between respective mobile terminal devices can be performed in each of a plurality of tethering connection systems. When performing tethering communication, a mobile terminal device having tethering function becomes a master device and a mobile terminal device having no tethering function becomes a slave device. When both mobile terminal devices have tethering function, one mobile terminal devices becomes the master device and the other becomes the slave device. Before starting the tethering communication, state information for calculating an expected battery operating time of each mobile terminal device is acquired. A tethering connection system and a master-slave relationship are selected to maximize the expected operating time based on the remaining battery level and the expected power consumption of each mobile terminal device when starting the tethering communication.

    Abstract: A first device stores a subscription manager and at least two subscriptions. A first subscription is active and a second subscription is non-active. A second device sends a request for switching to the second subscription. The subscription manager sets a first variable relating to a next active subscription to the second subscription.     Abstract: A method of user authentication by an application (1a) on a mobile telephony device (1) comprises authenticating the user by interaction with the application (1a), communicating with a remote authentication service (4) to receive a call identifier; and sending the call identifier within a telephone call to the remote telephony service (9), by means of which the user is authenticated to the remote telephony service (9). The mobile telephony device may receive a service code linked to the remote telephony service, and the call identifier may be based on this code. The service code may be captured or entered manually into the mobile device, or obtained from an application on the mobile device (1), such as a mobile banking application. The call identifier may be hidden within the call using audio steganography. The authentication service (4) may link the user to a remote service account ID, which is sent to the remote server.

    Abstract: A processor in a mobile wireless device communicates detailed state information about attachments to a user identity module card embedded in the mobile wireless device. The processor detects a change in an attach state of the mobile wireless device for at least one of a plurality of attachment types. The processor determines the attach state of the mobile wireless device for each of the plurality of attachment types and sends a status message to the user identity module card indicating the determined attach states.
