摘要: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for resource unit indication for extended range packets. An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry may be configured to: encode a high-efficiency (HE) extended range (ER) physical (PHY) layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (HE ER PPDU) including a first portion comprising a HE signal (SIG) field, and including a second portion comprising a data field. The HE SIG field may include an indication of a resource unit (RU) for the second portion. The processing circuitry further configured to configure the access point to transmit the first portion on a 20 MHz channel, and to transmit the second portion on the RU, the RU within the 20 MHz channel.

A device may generate two or more sounding signals to be sent using two or more antennas to a receiving device across a plurality of symbol intervals. The device may apply a first masking signal to a first sounding signal of the two or more sounding signals over a first symbol interval of the plurality of the symbol intervals. The device may apply a second masking signal to a second sounding signal over a second symbol interval of the plurality of the symbol intervals. The device may cause to send the two or more sounding signals to receiving device using the two or more antennas.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for beamforming smoothing and indication in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry is configured to decode a null data packet (NDP). The processing circuitry is further configured to determine beamforming vectors or matrixes from a channel matrix estimate from the NDP, and smooth the beamforming vectors or matrixes. The processing circuitry is further configured to configure the station to transmit feedback, the feedback including the smooth beamfortning vectors or matrixes, and decode a downlink (DL) physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU)(DL PPDU) from the access point where the DL PPDU beamformed based on the smooth beamforming vectors or matrixes.

摘要: A station (STA) may operate as a first peer-to-peer (P2P) client (P2P1) for P2P operations with dual-stage triggering. The STA may decode a primary frame trigger frame (TF) from an access point (AP) operating as a coordinator. The primary TF may allocate resources in an initial portion of a time-duration allocation to the P2P1 for the P2P operations with one or more other peer stations, including a second P2P client (P2P2) and a third P2P client (P2P3). The primary TF may further allocate resources in a subsequent portion of the time-duration allocation to the P2P2 for the P2P operations. The STA may also encode a first secondary TF for transmission within the initial portion of the time-duration allocation. The first secondary TF may allocate specific resource units (RUs) to the one or more other peer stations. The STA may also decode a TB physical layer protocol data unit (TB PPDU) encoded in accordance with a multi-user orthogonal frequency division multiple access (MU OFDMA) frame format. The TB PPDU may be received concurrently within the initial portion of the time-duration allocation from the one or more other peer stations in accordance with an uplink OFDMA technique.

摘要: Embodiments herein relate to wireless communication using combined channel training and physical layer header (SIG) signaling. Devices that comply with the 802.11ax or High Efficiency WLAN (HEW) standard may generate and transmit packets that include such combined information. The combined information may be beamformed to a receiver device via an OFDM signal, which may be decoded by the receiver device to obtain subsequent data included in the signal. For example, initial training symbols associated with channel training subcarriers in the signal may be detected and used to perform a rough estimate of the channel. The rough estimate may thereafter be refined using data symbols detected from adjacent data subcarriers using the channel training symbols. In this way, data subcarriers may also be used to determine a channel response along with channel training subcarriers. Channel training information may be transmitted with data, such as user-specific information, in a single symbol.

摘要: An apparatus includes a processor a channel state information (CSI) module operative on the processor to evaluate channel state information for a multiplicity of transmission points and to allocate a selection of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) to an uplink sub-frame allotted for transmitting channel quality/precoding matrix index/rank indicator (CQI/PMI/RI) information to a transmission point. The apparatus may further include a wireless transceiver operative to transmit the selection of CSI-RS in the uplink sub-frame to the transmission point in a wireless network, and receive information from the transmission point in response to the CSI-RS and a digital display operative to present the information received from the transmission point.

摘要: Technology for channel state information (CSI) feedback in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication system is disclosed. A method comprises receiving, at a mobile device, a dynamic channel state information (CSI) feedback switch signal from a transmission station that identifies a selected CSI feedback state for the mobile device. A process for selecting a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) and a rank indicator is identified based on the CSI feedback switch signal as either a process configured for MU-MIMO reception or single-user (SU) MIMO reception of a downlink signal at the mobile device.
