    Abstract: A method includes receiving CSI frames among P CSI frames transmitted from another electronic device. The method includes estimating a CSI from each of the received CSI frames as an available CSI estimate. The method includes identifying an impairment model accounting for inclusion of amplitude or phase errors of an estimated CSI corresponding to a p-th CSI frame among the P CSI frames. The method includes compensating, via the impairment model, for the errors in amplitude and phase of P CSI estimates. Compensating for the errors in amplitude and phase of the P CSI estimates can be based on: approximating a missing CSI estimate based on the available CSI estimates; determining an AGC gain value; or computing the errors in the phase based on a weighted least-squares solution. The method includes estimating a breathing rate of a subject based on different spatial dimensions of the P compensated CSI estimates.

    Abstract: A system and method for user selection in distributed multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO). The system performs a method that includes configuring a first channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource set for a serving transmission point (TRP) and a second CSI-RS resource for a concatenated channel, wherein the concatenated channel is between a virtual panel and the apparatus, the virtual panel comprising distributed panels from a serving TRP and a helping TRP. The method also includes computing a metric as a function of one or more quantities included in one or more measurement reports, received from a user equipment (UE), for the concatenated channel and at least one of the serving TRP channel or the helping TRP channel. The method also includes configuring, based on the metric, the UE for one of: a legacy transmission or a distributed MIMO transmission.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for predicting a quality of experience (QoE) of a user and adjusting target wake time (TWT) operations for the user based on the predicted quality of experience in a wireless local area network communications system. The apparatuses include a communication device comprising a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The transceiver is configured to receive traffic over a wireless network for an application in a TWT operation. The processor is configured to determine network statistics from the traffic, estimate a QoE value for the application based on the network statistics, and determine new TWT parameters for the TWT operation based on the estimated QoE value.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for voice over long-term evolution/voice over new radio (VoLTE/VoNR) performance for a cellular communication system. A method of operating a base station includes receiving, from a user equipment (UE), uplink (UL)signals; identifying, based on the UL signals, a first and second parameters; determining first and second UL power control parameters based on the first and second parameters, respectively; determining a first time period for the first UL power control parameter and a second time period for the second UL power control parameter, wherein the first time period is longer than the second time period; updating the first UL power control parameter based on the first time period and the second UL power control parameter based on the second time period; and transmitting, to the UE, the updated first and second UL power control parameters for an UL transmit power of the UE.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus of a BS in a wireless communication system is provided. The method and apparatus comprises: storing a set of beam codebooks including a plurality of angular grids each of which is identified as a first type of angular grid or a second type of angular grid; identifying a set of parameters to adjust an antenna beam pattern based on the set of beam codebooks, wherein the set of parameters includes at least one of feedback information received from a UE or a set of KPIs identified by the BS; determining a type of angular grid as the first type of angular grid or the second type of angular grid, wherein the first and second type of angular grids include a first antenna gain and a second antenna gain, respectively; and select, from the set of beam codebooks, a beam codebook corresponding to the antenna beam pattern.
