Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for an Internet service provider server providing a sponsored service, in which a service provider server pays a mobile communication usage fee in place of a user equipment, and the method for providing the sponsored service comprises: a connection step of selecting predetermined sponsored content so as to provide the sponsored service by means of the user equipment accessing the Internet service provider server; an authentication step of authenticating to the user equipment that the sponsor service is valid by a sponsorship manager, which is a device for managing the sponsor service, connecting with the user equipment on the mobile communication network; a step for the Internet transmitting to the user equipment the sponsored content that comprises in an IP packet either an IspCode, which is pre-allocated by the sponsorship manager for identifying the Internet provider server, or an IspTrfCode, which is pre-allocated by the sponsorship manager for identifying the sponsored service; and a ending step of ending the connection between the user equipment and the sponsorship manager, and the user equipment and the sponsorship manager collecting traffic information with regard to the sponsored service.
Abstract:
In a user equipment of a wireless communication system, a method for signal transmission and reception may include: sending a request for a Circuit Switched voice network (CS) service to a Gateway Mobile Switching Center (GMSC) to send and receive data to and from a second user equipment; and receiving a call reject response corresponding to the service request from the GMSC, wherein the call reject response is sent by an entity in a core network of the second user equipment. According to an embodiment, it is possible to provide a suitable service to a sender terminal making a CS service request to a receiver terminal having subscribed only to a PS service without increasing network load.
Abstract:
A method and a device for setting priority of data transmission are provided. A terminal, which is set to transmit low priority data to a network, transmits a connection request to the network in order to transmit normal-priority data, and receives and stores priority information on data transmission from the network.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and method for establishing connection between a User Equipment (UE) and a Mobility Management Entity (MME) in the wireless communication system in which the data-centric terminal requests the mobility management entity for attachment and checks, when the mobility management entity responds, data-centric features supported by the mobility management entity. According to the present invention, it is possible to connect the data-centric terminal to the mobility management entity supporting the data-centric features of the corresponding data-centric terminal efficiently in the wireless communication system.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for processing packets. A method for processing packets in a base station (ENB) may include: obtaining information on a rule for dealing with a packet according to supplementary information contained in the header of the packet; receiving a packet; extracting supplementary information from the header of the received packet; and processing the received packet on the basis of the obtained rule information and extracted supplementary information. Hence, the base station may adequately perform packet control operations in accordance with the state thereof.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of sending and receiving signals for a user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system. The method may include: receiving a service reject message from a Mobility Management Entity (MME) under congestion; sending a message containing at least one piece of information determined based on the service reject message to a Mobile Switching Center (MSC); receiving a message containing camping cell information from a base station (eNB); and camping on a cell indicated by the camping cell information. In one embodiment, when an MM back-off timer is applied to the UE utilizing CSFB (or SMS over SGs) at the time of network congestion, the MSC or 2G/3G RAN node is notified that the MM back-off timer is running in the UE, so that the UE may camp not on an LTE cell but on a 2G/3G cell after CS service reception. Hence, it is possible to prevent call drops for MT services that may be caused by UE location registration failure due to the MM back-off timer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for controlling a specific service in a network congestion state in a wireless communication system. Particularly, the method for controlling a service by a base station in a wireless communication system according to the present invention comprises: a step of receiving a paging message from a mobility management entity (MME) when a certain terminal generates a downlink packet; a step of checking the setup state of the core network domain included in the paging message; and a paging processing step of, if the core network domain is set as a packet-based voice call service, processing the paging message as a priority.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a method for controlling congestion at an evolved node B (eNB) in a wireless communication network is provided. This method includes a step of sensing whether the congestion occurs or not; and a reporting step of transmitting congestion information, including whether the congestion occurs or not, to a mobility management entity (MME) or a serving gateway (S-GW). According to another embodiment, a method for controlling the congestion at a packet data network gateway (P-GW) in the wireless communication network is provided. Additionally, apparatuses for implementing these methods are also provided.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment, a network access method of a user equipment (UE) in a communication system comprises the steps of: receiving information including an access order from a configuration server; storing the received information; and transmitting an access request to the network according to an access method determined on the basis of the stored information. According to another embodiment, a UE for accessing a wireless communication system comprises: a transceiving unit which receives information including an access order from a configuration server; and a control unit for storing the received information and controlling the transceiving unit to transmit an access request to the network according to an access method determined on the basis of the stored information. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when a UE for supporting a PS network and a CS network accesses a network, the UE receives a configuration of each domain registration method in advance, and thus can more easily access each network. In addition, according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, message transmission can be more easily achieved between a system in which a long SMS message can be transmitted and a system in which a SMS message of conventional-length is transmitted. Furthermore, according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, when a UE, which has performed a CS fallback, returns to a 4G network due to the end of a CS service, the UE can be prevented from returning to another provider network since the UE has existing return information.
Abstract:
