摘要: A cylinder liner for an engine cylinder block. A roughening process is performed only on an upper region of the outer surface of the cylinder liner. This increases adhesiveness with a sprayed layer at the upper region compared to a lower region of the liner outer surface. Therefore, difference in thermal conductance is produced in the axial direction of the cylinder liner. This maintains the wall temperature of the cylinder bore in an appropriate temperature range. Even if adhesiveness at the lower region of the liner outer surface is low, bottleneck-shaped projections are distributed on the liner outer surface. Thus, the bonding strength between the cylinder liner and the sprayed layer and the cylinder liner and the cylinder block via the sprayed layer is sufficient. This maintains the roundness of the cylinder bore and prevents fuel efficiency from being lowered by exhaust gas loss and mechanical loss.

摘要: A volume control system in a storage area network environment, which is capable of executing volume operation requests in multiple stages, and is also capable of canceling an erroneous volume operation even after the operation has been executed by the user. A volume operation request for executing run commands from the user is analyzed, and parameters for executing the volume operation request are created by a program that operates the storage apparatus. Each of the parameters is provided with an attribute indicating as to whether cancellation is possible or as to when the execution is to be performed. If cancellation of the run command is possible, a parameter for canceling the run command is created simultaneously. The run commands may be executed on the basis of the parameters after verifying by a simulation as to whether or not the various parameters created are correct. At this point, the user may select whether to execute the run commands promptly or in stages. When the user selects executing the run commands in stages, the user registers execution conditions for executing the run commands. In the event the user makes a cancellation request before the registered execution conditions are fulfilled, any of the run commands that has been executed can be cancelled by using cancellation parameters.

摘要: In volume allocation, the user specifies a volume allocation requirement including parameters regarding availability of paths to select and to set volumes and paths to satisfy the requirement. In the operation, a check is made for not only paths actually set but also paths available at occurrence of path failure to store results of the check in path control information. The information also includes the volume allocation requirement. A path is selected to be set according to the requirement stored in the information.

摘要: A lawn mower for directing grass clippings to a grass catcher. The lawn mower includes a vehicle body and a mower unit supported by the vehicle body to be vertically movable for varying a height thereof above the ground. The mower unit includes a housing, cutting blades rotatable about vertical shafts, and a grass clippings discharge channel connected to the housing and opening downward for rearwardly directing grass clippings cut by the cutting blades. The lawn mower further includes a grass collecting duct for connecting a discharge opening of the grass clippings discharge channel to the grass catcher, and a receiving plate having a receiving surface for covering the downward opening of the grass clippings discharge channel. The receiving plate is pivotable about a transverse shaft between a grass clippings guiding position in which the receiving surface extends parallel to a flow of grass clippings through the grass clippings discharge channel and a grass clippings removing position in which the receiving surface has a large tilt angle relative to the ground. A swing range limiting mechanism is provided for reducing a swing range of the receiving plate as the mower unit is lowered relative to the ground.

摘要: A transmission for a working vehicle comprising a transmission mechanism for controlling drive transmission; a first input shaft for transmitting drive from an engine to the transmission mechanism; a second input shaft, usable as an alternative to the first input shaft, for transmitting drive from the engine to the transmission mechanism, the second input shaft extending in a different direction to the first input shaft; an implement-operating output shaft for outputting drive from the transmission mechanism to drive a working implement; and a pair of right and left propelling output shafts for transmitting drive from the transmission mechanism to drive wheels, the propelling output shafts extending in the same direction as axes of the drive wheels. The first and second input shafts extend transversely of the propelling output shafts. The implement-operating output shaft extends in the same direction as the first input shaft.
