摘要: Provided are a receptacle attached with an optical isolator and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of easily performing position alignment among an end surface of a magnet, an end surface of a fiber stub, and a polarization plane of a polarizer and dimension calculating of the optical isolator without an increase in the number of parts. The optical isolator is constructed by fitting a fiber stub into which an optical fiber is inserted and of which end surface is formed to be slanted with a predetermined angle into a ferrule holder, by forming an end surface of the magnet to be slanted with the same angle as the predetermined angle, and by fixing the optical isolator element to the magnet. The receptacle attached with an optical isolator is constructed by integrally fixing the optical isolator to the end surface of the fiber stub by fitting the optical isolator into an inner diameter portion of the ferrule holder.

摘要: A water treatment system to be installed in a tanker or other cargo ship for destruction of aquatic organisms and microorganisms that may be contained in the water, usually seawater, being pumped into the ship's ballast tank or tanks. Included is a ballast pump having an intake conduit for drawing water from the sea, and a delivery conduit for delivering the water under pressure to the ballast tank. The delivery conduit has mounted therein a slitted or otherwise open-worked screen for mechanically killing the aquatic lifeforms contained in the water by shearing action. For chemical treatment, on the other hand, part of the water being delivered by the ballast pump is bypassed into an ozone impregnator thereby to be impregnated with ozone from an ozonizer. A bypass pump repressurizes the ozone-impregnated water for returning the same into the delivery conduit.

摘要: Disclosed is a technology that prevents a part of a touch panel-equipped display displaying an ultrasonic tomographic image from getting dirty with a fingerprint or scratch when using a drag operation to change the content of the ultrasonic tomographic image displayed on the touch panel-equipped display. According to this technology, the display screen is divided into an ultrasonic image area A1 which displays an ultrasonic image P and an operating part display area A2 which displays buttons (Fov, Pos, ROI, and Dop) for selecting a change to be made in the ultrasonic image P. The operating part display area A2 has a touch panel, and when a finger F selectively touches one of the displayed buttons and is dragged, the displayed image P of the ultrasonic image area A1 is changed on the apparatus side according to the selected changes and drag direction.
