摘要: A vehicular brake system includes a brake actuator that enables brake assist to be carried out, the brake assist increasing a braking force exhibited by wheel brakes in response to a braking operation input by a vehicle driver in comparison with the braking force when it is unassisted. The system further includes braking operation detection means for detecting a braking operation by the driver; emergency avoidance steering operation detection means for detecting an emergency avoidance steering operation by the driver, and actuator control means for controlling operation of the brake actuator so as to carry out the brake assist in response to the detection means detecting a braking operation while an emergency avoidance steering operation is being detected by the detection means or during a period from the detection of the emergency avoidance steering operation by the detection means to the time when a predetermined period of time has elapsed after the detection has ended.

摘要: A cross-shaped joint is provided with a pair of yokes each of which is integrally provided with forked arms on which opposed circular holes are formed, a spider having four end shaft portions, and four bearings for rotatably supporting the end shaft portions of the spider respectively in the circular holes of the yokes. Each of the bearings includes a cup having a cylindrical portion fitted in the circular hole of the yoke and a plurality of rolling elements provided between the inner circumferential surface of the cup and the end shaft portion of the spider. The end shaft portions of the spider are interference fitted in the bearings via the rolling elements.

摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus where in an additional image storage unit 3, a color additional image is stored into a color image storage unit 4, and a black/white additional image is stored into a black/white image storage unit 5. A color judging unit 2 judges as to whether an input image corresponds to a color image, or a black/white image every page thereof. Based upon the judgment result of the color judging unit 2, an image synthesizing unit 6 adds the color additional image stored in the color image storage unit 4 to the input image when the input image is the color image, and adds the black/white additional image stored in the black/white image storage unit 5 in the input image when the input image is the black/white image. Then, the image synthesizing unit 6 outputs the resulting image synthesized with the additional image. When the input image is the black/white image, the black/white additional image is added to this input image charge amount for the black/white image can be determined.

摘要: To provide an image processing apparatus and method that enable high speed and high quality image drawing process. When a drawing instruction including drawing logical arithmetic process instruction is input to a drawing instruction converting unit, the drawing instruction converting mans converts the input drawing instruction to a drawing object and a drawing logical arithmetic process instruction and then stores these to a drawing object storing unit. 摘要: An image of an original document supplied from a scanner portion or the like is, in an attribute-determining portion, subjected to a process for determining whether each pixel is a character pixel or a picture pixel. The two-layer separating portion separates the image of the original document into a character information plane and a picture information plane in accordance with separating information. The resolution converting portion has a plurality of resolution converting methods. In accordance with transmission attribute information supplied from outside, a transmission-attribute-information recognizing portion selects a resolution converting method independently for each plane. The resolution converting portion uses the selected resolution converting method to subject each plane to the resolution converting process. Each plane submitted to the resolution conversion is formatted in an image-format-lapping portion so as to be transmitted from a transmitting portion through a network.

摘要: An azimuth change quantity .theta. of a road during traveling of a vehicle for a time .delta.t is calculated based on road data provided by a navigation system and a vehicle speed provided by a vehicle speed sensor (at step S3 in FIG. 2). On the other hand, an azimuth change quantity .THETA. of the vehicle is calculated by integrating a yaw rate .gamma. obtained from a yaw rate sensor over the time .delta.t (at step S5). A deviation D between the azimuth change quantity .theta. of the road and the azimuth change quantity .THETA. of the vehicle is calculated (at step S6). When the deviation D becomes equal to or larger than a reference value .beta., it is determined that there is a possibility that the vehicle will depart from the road (at step S9), and a predetermined steering torque is applied to a steering device, so that the deviation is converged into zero (at steps S10 and S11).
