    摘要: A synchronous motor having multi-phase armature windings and a field winding is drived by a frequency converter. Actual torque is determined from a sinusoidal position signal representative of rotational position of the synchronous motor and the armature current. The actual torque value is compared with a command torque signal, whereby the armature current is controlled in dependence on difference or deviation resulting from the comparison thereby to cancel the torque ripple. Torque ripple can thus be suppressed to a satisfactory degree even at a low rotation speed of the synchronous motor.

    摘要: The vehicle is powered by a linear synchronous motor, The linear synchronous motor comprises a series of field poles fitted on the vehicle body along its total length and a series of magnetic devices being provided along a track on the ground facing these field poles and developing a travelling magnetic field. A driving force developed between these field poles and the magnetic devices causes the vehicle to move.Such a linear synchronous motor powered vehicle has a problem when securing proper and satisfactory places to mount the necessary equipment of the vehicle. The problem arises from the peculiar construction thereof that a plurality of field poles are disposed along the entire length of the vehicle body.A satisfactory mounting of the apparatus may be attained by a unique arrangement of the field poles, without making the vehicle body large in size or providing discomfort to the passengers.

When the flange 37b is swaged along an upper surface of the cap 3, the protrusion 37c projects along the upper surface of the cap 3 from the flange 37b toward a center of the cap 3. The cap case 37 is welded to the cap 3 by friction stir welding at a welding portion 37d located at a substantially center of the protrusion 37c. The protrusions 37c are formed approximately in a letter-T shape that is symmetric left and right, and width W2 of a connecting portion 37r in a cap circumferential direction is smaller than the maximum width W1. The rigidity of the connecting portion 37r against deformation is reduced by forming a portion with small width W1 at the connecting portion 37r.
