摘要: A light emitting semiconductor device which emits blue and/or green light has an active layer and a pair of clad layers which sandwich the active layer (3), deposited on a substrate (1). The substrate (1) is made of GaAs, InP, GaAsP or Ge. Said active layer (3) and said clad layers (2, 4) are made of II-VI group compound semiconductor which is lattice-matched with the substrate at both room temperature and growing temperature, for instance 500.degree. C. Said II-VI group compound semiconductor has the same linear thermal expansion coefficient as that of the substrate. The linear thermal expansion coefficient of the II-IV group compound semiconductor is adjusted by additive of Cd, Mg or Hg.

摘要: A hydrodynamic grooved bearing device in which a shaft is inserted into a hole formed in a bearing housing and one of the shaft and bearing housing is rotated, thereby the rotated member being supported includes a plurality of grooves formed on the shaft or an inner peripheral surface of the bearing housing for generating a dynamic pressure of fluid filled between the shaft and the bearing housing. The plurality of grooves are arranged side by side with a substantially certain pitch in a direction of rotation. Each of the grooves comprises a pair of groove portions slanted relative to the direction of rotation such that a distance between the pair of groove portions becomes narrower towards the direction of rotation and a connecting groove portion connecting the narrowest distance between the slanted groove portions. The connecting groove portion is extended in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of rotation. The provision of the dynamic pressure generating grooves enables a high bearing load and a stable bearing performance with a minimum degree of whirling compared with conventional V-grooved bearing.

摘要: The present invention provides a novel method for the transfer of heat energy which comprises producing the vapor of a heat-transfer medium at a heat generation place 1, transporting the resulting heat-transfer medium vapor to an absorption tank 4, allowing it to be absorbed into an absorption fluid containing an absorbent and thereby raising the temperature of the resulting liquid mixture of the heat-transfer medium and the absorption fluid to a temperature higher than that of the heat-transfer medium vapor, utilizing the heat of the liquid medium thus obtained, separating it into a heat-transfer medium and an absorption fluid by means of a semipermeable membranous material, and recycling and reusing them as the heat-transfer medium and the absorption fluid, respectively. This method for the transfer of heat energy permits energy of high quality to be transferred with high thermal efficiency and, in particular, permits low-pressure steam to be transported efficiently and stored with little loss of heat.

摘要: A capacitor is connected between direct current voltage terminals, and inductance means is connected between one end of the capacitor and one of load terminals. In a case in which the direct current voltage exceeds a set value, voltage at both ends of the capacitor is shared by the first and second switching elements that are not electrically conductive; in a case in which the direct current voltage is below the set value, the first and second switching elements are electrically conductive on a periodic basis or as needed to output reversed-polarity voltage between load terminals; and in a case in which the first and second switching elements are turned off, voltage at both ends of the capacitor restricts voltage applied to both ends of the first and second switching elements, during a period in which the first and second feedback rectifier elements are electrically conductive.

The particles of the electron-emitting material is contained inside the phosphor particles or included between the phosphor particles in close contact with the phosphor particles. An electroluminescent element has a light emitting layer containing the electroluminescent phosphor. Another electroluminescent element has a light emitting layer containing particles of a phosphor and particles of an electron-emitting material composed of a conductive compound not originating from the atoms constituting the host material of the phosphor and the activator. The proportion of the electron-emitting material to the light emitting layer is 1-75 weight %. A high-luminous efficiency and high-luminance electroluminescent element can be produced.

摘要: This dispersion liquid composition for black matrix comprises; manganese oxide having an average particle diameter in the range of 50 to 2000 nm, or solid solution of manganese oxide and ferric oxide having an average particle diameter in the range of 50 to 2000 nm and a manganese content in the range of 15 to 70% by weight; at least one kind of dispersing agent selected from a group of water-soluble acrylic resin, sodium salt, ammonium salt or potassium salt of water-soluble acrylic resin, and sodium salt, ammonium salt or potassium salt of polycarboxylic acid or ligninsulfonic acid or bisphenolsulfonic acid; and water, or a solvent mixture of water and an organic solvent compatible with water. By employing such a dispersion liquid composition for black matrix, light reflectivity of a light absorption layer of an interface with a panel is remarkably reduced. Accordingly, in a display device such as a color cathode ray tube, a display surface in which superposition of ambient light is difficult to occur is realized.
