The second pixel region 8B includes a third partial region 11b, and a fourth partial region 13b where the threshold voltage is higher than in the third partial region 11b. The threshold voltage in the first partial region 11a and the threshold voltage in the third partial region 11b are equal to each other, and the threshold voltage in the second partial region 13a and the threshold voltage in the fourth partial region 13b are equal to each other. Thus, it is possible to prevent large changes in the chromaticity due to gradation and visual angle changes, which lead to the prevention of the occurrence of the coloring. Thus, it is possible to provide a liquid crystal display having good display quality.

The digital broadcast reception device also simultaneously transmits a light bit stream on a different single physical channel, the light bit stream being a bit stream smaller in amount of information than the combined bit stream.
