Abstract:
Techniques for locating and identifying mobile devices are described. According to various embodiments, an ambient sound signal may be detected using a microphone of a mobile device. Thereafter, it may be determined that the ambient sound signal corresponds to a predefined user query for assistance in locating the mobile device. For the, a predefined response sound corresponding to the predefined user query may be emitted, using a speaker of the mobile device.
Abstract:
Techniques for providing a virtual item shopping environment are presented herein. A dimension module may be configured to determine one or more dimensions of a person near a display. A selection module may be configured to select one or more items from a database based on the determined dimensions. A display module configured to present the one or more items on the display. In other embodiments, the selection module may further be configured to receive a selection from the person via a user interface. The selection may indicate one of the presented items. In another embodiment, the display module may be configured to display a live real-time video of the person wearing the selected item. The live real-time video may include video of the person with an overlaid image of the selected item.
Abstract:
A method of projecting a likeness of an item onto a surface is disclosed. A determination that a user is interested in an item is made. A schematic corresponding to the item is identified based on information about the item. The user is provided with an option to project a likeness of the item onto a surface. Based on an accepting of the option by the user, a device of the user is instructed to project the likeness of the item onto the surface based on the schematic.

Abstract:
A method includes identifying individuals that are affiliated with a user. The method includes incorporating trusted devices associated with the identified individuals into an event monitor network that is configured to monitor for an occurrence of a monitored event. The method includes identifying a particular input that suggests the occurrence of the monitored event. The method includes communicating to the trusted devices, an input sample that is used for recognition of the particular input from general input that is measured by sensors of the trusted devices. The method includes receiving from at least one of the trusted devices, an event message that indicates the particular input is observed by at least one of the sensors. In response to the event message, the method includes communicating to a user interface of a user device associated with the user, an alarm message that indicates the occurrence of the monitored event.
Abstract:
Example methods and systems are directed to adapting legacy endpoints to modem application protocol interfaces (APIs). A legacy endpoint may provide a powerful and complex API. A modern application may desire access to the legacy endpoint. One or more layers may be added between the modem application and the legacy endpoint. Each layer may provide a different API. These layers of APIs may transform the interface from a powerful and complex interface to a more limited but simpler and easier to use interface. In some example embodiments, a proxy layer, an adapter layer, a facade layer, and a service layer may be used.
Abstract:
There are provided systems and methods for communication device interface alerts from a service provider server on detection of prior scheduled events. A service provider may provide for purchase request processing to complete a transaction for an item identified in the service request. The item may have a corresponding date for use, redemption, duration, or other time requirement. The service provider may process the time for the item against calendar information for the user that includes events the user may attend, which have previously reserved times associated with attendance to the event. The calendar information may include actual entered events and implied events based on user actions. If any conflicts exist between the item's time and previously reserved times, the user may be alerted of the conflict prior to completing purchase of the item. The user may also be offered with rescheduling and resale services.
Abstract:
A method including identifying a delinquent account from multiple accounts managed by a financial services institution. The delinquent account is held by an account holder. The method includes accessing data pertaining to social networking activity of the account holder. The method includes reviewing the data pertaining to social network activity to identify an individual who is affiliated with the account holder. The method includes transmitting to a social media account of the affiliated individual, a payment solicitation that requests the affiliated individual make a payment to the delinquent account on behalf of the account holder. The method includes receiving a payment message that authorizes a payment to the delinquent account. The method includes applying the payment to the delinquent account.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for health issue detection and treatment include collecting, from at least one wearable user device associated with a first user, user health data at a plurality of different times. Previous user health data retrieved from the at least one wearable user device associated with the first user at a plurality of previous times is analyzed to create a first user health profile that is stored in a database. The current user health data retrieved from the at least one wearable user device associated with the first user at a current time is compared with the first user health profile stored in the database and, in response, a first user health deviation is detected. A first user health treatment is then provided for display on a first user device that is associated with the first user.
Abstract:
In an example embodiment, a group of local trusted devices is formed based, at least in part, on locations of a plurality of devices. Then a payment tree is presented in a user interface of a first device in the group of local trusted devices, the payment tree including a graphical representation of relationships between devices in the group and permitting selection, by a user of the first device, of one or more devices in the group to share in paying a bill received from a device outside the group. A bill may then be generated from the first device to each selected device in the payment tree, the bill indicating a payment amount reflecting a portion of the bill received from the device outside the group.
