摘要: A releasable medical drape, and systems and methods having the same, includes at least a liquid-impermeable, vapor-permeable layer, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, and a soft-gel layer having a plurality of apertures. The soft-gel layer is configured to be disposed adjacent to a tissue site. A portion of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer extends through the plurality of apertures in the soft-gel layer to contact the tissue site. The soft-gel layer forms a good seal with the tissue site and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer extending through the plurality of apertures forms a firm—but releasable—coupling with the tissue site.

The interface seal may be coupled at the periphery of the dressing bolster. The base layer may include a base layer flange configured to be coupled to the dressing and to extend beyond the periphery of the dressing bolster. The dressing assembly may be suitable for treating a tissue site with reduced pressure and for creating an apposition force between a first portion of the tissue site and a second portion of the tissue site. Other systems, apparatus, and methods are disclosed.

摘要: This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to therapy devices including pumps that are operable in multiple operating modes. An exemplary wound therapy device includes a pump configured to be worn by a user and a controller coupled to the pump and configured to transition the pump from operating in a first operating mode to operating in a second operating mode responsive to a pressure of the wound therapy device satisfying a first pressure threshold. The first operating mode is associated with a first drive voltage that is different from a second drive voltage associated with the second operating mode.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a self-mating fastener that includes a backing having a first side, and a rail element protruding perpendicularly from the first side of the backing. The rail element extends in a longitudinal direction along the backing. The rail element has a base portion attached to the first side of the backing and a cap portion distal from the backing. The cap portion has a cap width that is greater than a width of the base portion and the cap portion overhangs the base portion on opposing sides. The self-mating fastener includes an electrically conductive contact element proximate to the rail element.

摘要: This disclosure includes wound dressings and systems for effluent management of topical wound therapy and related methods. Some devices, which are configured to dilute therapeutic gas effluent flowing from a dressing, comprise a therapeutic gas source configured to provide therapeutic gas to the dressing; a container comprising a sidewall that defines a chamber configured to receive therapeutic gas effluent from the dressing; a negative pressure source configured to be coupled to the container such that the negative pressure source can be activated to draw fluid from the dressing through the chamber of the container; and a diluent gas source configured to deliver a diluent gas to dilute therapeutic gas effluent before the therapeutic gas effluent enters the negative pressure source.

摘要: A wound therapy system includes a canister configured to contain fluid removed from a wound site, a primary conduit having a first end coupled to the canister and a second end coupled to the wound site, and a pump fluidly coupled to the wound site via the primary conduit. The pump is configured to apply negative pressure to the wound site via the primary conduit. The system includes a pressure indicator configured to indicate a negative pressure at the pressure indicator and a secondary conduit having a first end coupled to the pressure indicator and a second end coupled to the wound site such that the negative pressure at the wound site is fluidly transmitted to the pressure indicator via the secondary conduit. A blockage in the primary conduit causes the negative pressure indicated by the pressure indicator to differ from the negative pressure applied by the pump.

摘要: Dressings, systems, and methods for treating a tissue site on a patient involve allowing liquids from the tissue site or a priming fluid to evaporate and exit the dressing through a liquid-impermeable, vapor-permeable membrane. The dressing is able to process more liquids than would otherwise be possible without evaporation and potentially to create reduced pressure. Other dressings, systems, and methods are disclosed.

摘要: A wound dressing includes a hydrophilic foam layer, a drape layer, superabsorbent projections, and printed indicators. The hydrophilic foam layer is configured to engage a wound bed and has a first side and a second side, the second side configured to face the wound bed. The drape layer has a first side and a second side, the second side configured to face the first side of the hydrophilic foam layer. The plurality of non-contiguous superabsorbent projections are fixed to and extend from the first side of the hydrophilic foam layer towards the second side of the drape layer. The one or more non-contiguous printed indicators surround one or more of the plurality of superabsorbent projections.
