Abstract:
The invention relates to a tire assembly for a bicycle rim, comprising a wheel tire with a tread surface and two tire beads which in the mounted condition bear on the interior side of the rim edges, an inner tire which in the mounted condition is disposed within the wheel tire, a tube which in the mounted condition is disposed within the inner tire, valve means for filling with different air pressures, on the one hand side, the tube and, on the other hand side, an intermediate space between the rim and the wheel tire, wherein the inner tire in the filled and mounted condition bears on the tire beads of the wheel tire at least in sections and presses said beads against the rim, wherein the inner tire is provided with a first through opening in its wall, wherein the first through opening in the mounted condition is in communication with the intermediate space between the rim and the wheel tire, and wherein an insert part is provided which in the mounted condition is disposed between the rim and the tube, and between the tube and the inner tire, and which at least in sections forms an air duct between the rim and the tube, and between the tube and the inner tire up to the through opening in the inner tire.
Abstract:
An air maintenance tire and pump assembly includes a tire having a tire cavity, first and second sidewalls extending from first and second tire bead regions, respectively, to a tire tread region, an elongate substantially annular air passageway enclosed within a bending region of the sidewalls, the air passageway operatively closing and opening, segment by segment, as the bending region of the sidewalls passes adjacent a rolling tire footprint to pump air along the air passageway, an air inlet port assembly coupled to, and in air flow communication with, the air passageway at an inlet air passageway junction, the air inlet port assembly being operable to channel inlet air from outside of the tire into the air passageway, the air inlet port assembly including an inlet control valve and an outlet tee structure positioned 180° opposite the inlet control valve in the air passageway for moving air into the tire cavity, the inlet control valve including two inlet check valves for ensuring air flow only into, and not out of, the inlet control valve, the air passageway, a corresponding plain tee inlet structure, and the tire cavity.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a hose system, in particular for vehicle tires, having a hose (12) formed into a ring, comprising polyurethane and having an at least substantially constant wall thickness along the extent thereof, wherein the substantially constant value of the wall thickness is in the range between 0.1 mm and 0.4 mm.
Abstract:
A reinforcement structure for a valve of tires includes a tube having a hole defined through a wall thereof and an enlarged base of a valve is connected to the hole. A rubber made reinforcement pad is mounted on the base and connected to the tube wherein a length of the reinforcement pad is equal to or larger than twice of a width of the reinforcement pad.
Abstract:
A system for checking at least one status parameter of a tire for a motor vehicle includes at least one wheel, including a tire mounted on a rim, an inner tube inserted into a cavity defined between the tire and the rim, a first device for measuring the at least one status parameter associated with the at least one wheel, a second device for transmitting a signal indicating a value measured by the first device, a third device for receiving the signal, and a fourth device for sensing movement of the at least one wheel and for enabling energization of the second device when the at least one wheel is moving, wherein the first, second, and fourth devices are housed in a container inserted into a wall of the inner tube in a radially-inner position of the inner tube respect to the at least one wheel.
Abstract:
A device for preventing a pinch puncture of an inner tube of a pneumatic tire, which is disposed within a tire casing fitted over a wheel rim, includes a resiliently deformable ring disposed between the inner tube and the rim. The ring includes a flat base section positioned within a radially outwardly facing channel of the rim, an intermediate section which extends from the base section radially outwardly substantially beyond an outer periphery of the rim, and an outer section which defines an inner tube supporting cradle. The intermediate section of the ring includes a neck having a reduced width relative to the base section. The outer section has a width greater than that of the base. A radial aperture is provided through the ring for a valve stem, and a valve stem extension is provided to extend from the inner tube valve stem radially inwardly through the rim. The ring is preferably formed of a polyurethane material having a 90 Shore A durometer hardness.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a two-piece valve system for bodies to be filled with gaseous media, liquids, in particular for products for the rubber industry, provided with a valve body embedded in a rubber socket and a valve stem connectable with a thread to the valve body. The characteristic feature of the invention is that the valve body (4) is embedded in its full height in the rubber socket (5), on the inner wall of the throughbore (3) of the valve body (4) a connecting thread (2) is formed, while the outer wall of the valve stem (9) is also provided with a connecting thread (7) and in the inside of the valve body (4) and the threaded end of the valve stem (9) seats (8) are formed for receiving the O-ring (1).
