    Abstract: A valve stem structure disposed at a rim of a tire of a vehicle for connecting to an electronic tire pressure monitoring device in the tire is provided. The valve stem structure includes a tube, an air core, and a conducting wire. The tube has a first inlet, a first outlet communicating with an inner space of the tire, and a second outlet. The air core is switchably disposed at the first inlet, and a compressed air is injected into the tire via the first inlet and the first outlet by switching the air core. The conducting wire is disposed in the tube, and an end of the conducting wire extends out of the tube via the second outlet to be electrically connected to the electronic tire pressure monitoring device. A power source charges the electronic tire pressure monitoring device via the conducting wire.

    Abstract: A rim seal and method of manufacturing are provided. A rim seal segment is provided having two free ends and being constructed of a sealing material having a contoured cross-sectional profile. The rim seal segment has a length shorter than a circumference of the rim seal. The two free ends are inserted into a mold in spaced relationship with each other, and a connector is molded between the two free ends to connect the free ends and transform the rim seal segment into a continuous circumferential rim seal. A valve stem may be molded into the connector. A tire-facing surface defined by the combination of the rim portion and an outer surface of the rim seal has a profile conforming to an industry standard.

    Abstract: A method of assembling an air pump in a tire is provided including: opening an axial air passageway of an elongate flexible air tube at one end; inserting one by one a plurality of one-way check valves into the air passageway from the one end to form an axial array of spaced apart check valves along the air passageway, each check valve having an external nominal width greater than a nominal width of the air tube passageway; establishing a press fit engagement between each check valve and air tube internal sidewalls defining the air passageway to place each check valve at a respective preferred position within the air passageway; retaining the check valves in the respective preferred positions within the air passageway by radial pressure from the air tube internal sidewalls and closing the one end of the flexible air tube.
