    摘要： The present disclosure relates to a method for gathering and organizing media content in a social media is provided. The method initiates with providing a stream of postings of media content for a user account and receiving, from the user account, selection of media content provided within the stream. The selected media content is moved from the stream to a playlist interface. The selected media content is organized within the playlist interface into categories based on content type to generate a playlist for the user account. The organized playlist of the selected media content is provided for rendering at a display device that is used for accessing the user account.

A determination is made whether any of the plurality of media files is unavailable remotely. In response to a determination that a portion of the plurality of media files is unavailable remotely, a portion of the plurality of media files is placed in an archive. A playlist identifying the plurality of media files is placed in the archive. A set of links to each of the plurality of media files that are available remotely are placed in the archive, wherein the archive is used to distribute the media content.

Data is transmitted from a program participant's client device indicative of media inventory in a media library of the program participant. Media item similarity ratings are received at the client device that have been compiled based on cumulative data collected from a plurality of program participants, including identification data of individual media items contained in media libraries of the program participants regardless of each individual media item's source. Similarity ratings compilation includes processing the cumulative data to determine an incidence of co-occurrence of pairs of individual media items in different program participants' media libraries and making an assignment of a similarity rating based on the determined incidence of co-occurrence.

An aggregated media collection based on the processed media collection information is provided where the aggregated media collection comprises a primary list including a media item entry for each unique media item.

In one embodiment, a method of a server device includes, creatin a streamable playlist associated with a user, determining that the streamable playlist is associated with an artist, and determining that a central database includes new tracks of the artist, automatically adding the new tracks to the streamable playlist without charging a consideration to the user. The method may include communicating an alert message to the user when the new tracks may be added to the streamable playlist. The method may create a category playlist associated with the user based on a category of a media content. The method may include determining that the central database may include additional tracks in the category. The method may request that the user to add the additional tracks in the category playlist.

In one embodiment, a method of a server device includes automatically populating a hierarchy using a play-list history data associated with a media data of a client device, and modifying the hierarchy based on a user override. The hierarchy may be a hierarchy of the play-list history data of certain items associated with the media data of the client device. A modified hierarchy may be generated based on an addition, deletion and/or an adjust modifying operation of the user override on the hierarchy, and may be automatically populated on a new mark-up language file. A new compatibility rating may be determined between the user and the other users based on the similar attributes between the modified hierarchy and the other hierarchies, and each user may be enabled to view mark-up language files of the other users.
