    摘要: One or more embodiments of the present invention provide a rechargeable battery for allowing electrode terminals and electrode tabs to be easily coupled. A rechargeable battery according to one or more embodiments of the present invention include: an electrode assembly having first and second electrodes at opposite surfaces of a separator and wound about an axis; a first terminal coupled to the first electrode through a first tab; a second terminal coupled to the second electrode through a second tab; a case accommodating the electrode assembly and defining first and second openings at its opposite ends; a first gasket between the first terminal and the first opening sealing the first opening and allowing the first terminal to protrude outside of the case; and a second gasket between the second terminal and the second opening sealing the second opening and allowing the second terminal to protrude outside of the case.

First and second electrodes and electrolyte are disposed within the housing. The cup has a peripheral wall and a cup edge portion that extends inward, away from the can wall at angle less than 180° relative to a longitudinal axis of the cell housing. The gasket likewise has a base that extends inward, and a surface of the cup edge portion is sealingly engaged with the gasket base.

    摘要: In a lithium ion secondary battery including a flat-plate electrode assembly which is configured by stacking the positive electrode, the separator, and the negative electrode in the thickness direction thereof, each of the positive electrode and the negative electrode includes a current collector and an active material layer. Each of the current collector includes a substantially rectangular current collector body, a heat radiating portion, and a lead portion, and the heat radiating portions are projected toward the outside of the electrode assembly so as not to overlap with each other in the thickness direction of the electrode assembly. In this way, heat caused inside the lithium ion secondary battery can be diffused efficiently to the outside, and safety of the lithium ion secondary battery can be further increased, without complicating the battery structure and decreasing mechanical strength of the battery.
