Abstract:
The present invention provides a pseudo random signal generation circuit including: pattern signal output circuit including N stages of D flip-flops (DFF), and that outputs a pattern signal repeating bit patterns of 2N−1 bits from the non-inverting terminal of the final stage DFF; a signal output circuit that outputs a signal expressing the bit pattern length every time 2N−1 bits of the pattern signal are output; a selection signal output circuit that, based on the signal expressing the bit pattern length, outputs a selection signal for repeatedly selecting plural terminals, from plural terminals including the non-inverting terminals and the inverting terminals of the pattern signal output circuit, plural terminals at a time; and an output circuit that selects the signals output from the plural terminals according to the selection signal, and outputs the selected signal as a pseudo random signal.
Abstract:
An information providing device is capable of communicating with an image forming device, a data managing device, and a transmission terminal. The information providing device includes a storage unit; a communication unit that transmits a forming instruction to instruct the image forming device to perform image forming, and receives, from the image forming device, storage location information indicating the data managing device that stores data obtained by image forming by the image forming device and indicating a storage location in the data managing device; and a storage location managing unit that generates, in the storage unit, management information in which identification information of the image data is associated with the storage location information. The communication unit receives the data saved in the storage location indicated by the storage location information from the data managing device and transmits the received data to the transmission terminal.
Abstract:
A power management method of an image forming apparatus which communicates with at least one terminal device supporting a universal plug and play (UPnP) protocol, including: setting power save mode information which includes a plurality of levels corresponding to the UPnP protocol to the image forming apparatus; storing the set power save mode information; receiving a command to enter a first power save mode among the plurality of levels from the terminal device; comparing the received command to enter the first power save mode with the stored power save mode information; and entering a power save mode by the image forming apparatus corresponding to the received command to enter the first power save mode. With this configuration, the image forming apparatus supporting a UPnP protocol categorizes power save modes by using a low power protocol of the UPnP protocol, and can reduce unnecessary power consumption and improves usability.
Abstract:
In an information processing apparatus capable of performing communication using each of a plurality of communication methods, information used to communicate with an external apparatus of the information processing apparatus by a second communication method among the plurality of communication methods is received from the external apparatus by a first communication method among the plurality of communication methods. The external apparatus is notified, by the second communication method based on the received information, of information about execution of predetermined processing in accordance with a result obtained by determining the status of the communication with the external apparatus by the first communication method.
Abstract:
An electronic camera and method of operating an electronic camera which detects whether an external device such as a personal computer is properly connected to the camera and in a state which permits communication. The camera monitors a data terminal ready (DTR) signal of an RS-232 connection in order to determine that the external device is properly connected and in a state which permits communication. Once the proper connection is detected, the camera can either transmit or receive images and/or audio from the external device. Accordingly, a specific switch which places the camera in a communication mode can be eliminated. Further, a single switch may be utilized for both controlling whether the camera records or plays images when there is no device connected, and which controls whether the camera transmits or receives images and/or audio when an external device is determined to be connected.
Abstract:
Methods and electronic devices for sharing a camera feature are described. In one aspect, the present disclosure describes a method. The method is performed by a first electronic device which has a camera. The method includes: establishing wireless communications between the first electronic device and a second electronic device using a short range communication module of the first electronic device; and entering a camera-feature-sharing mode in which a camera-related feature of the second electronic device is accessible to the first electronic device using the short range communication module and in which a camera-related feature of the first electronic device is accessible to the second electronic device using the short range communication module.
Abstract:
A communication device including an image capturing device having a RF-ID unit for performing proximity wireless communication with a RF-ID reader/writer connected via an infrared communication path to a TV. The image capturing device includes: an antenna for the proximity wireless communication; a data receiving unit receiving an input signal from the RF-ID reader/writer; a nonvolatile second memory storing at least UID and an execution program; and a data transmission unit transmitting the UID and the execution program to the RF-ID reader/writer via the antenna according to the input signal. The UID is used to identify the communication device, and the execution program is executed by the TV with reference to the UID. The transmitted UID and execution program are transferred to the TV via the RF-ID reader/writer.
Abstract:
A photographic processing system in which subject and other data is stored in a database and such data is automatically linked to photographs taken using either a film or digital camera.
Abstract:
A device, system and method for portable data scanning and transmission are provided. The device is a portable appliance including resources for interoperating with a scanner to scan images of paper based documents, and a memory for storing the images without the need for a personal computer. The portable appliance is also interoperable with a mobile communication means to transfer the images to a remote computer. The portable appliance may include a computer program operable to enable processing of the images, including control routines for enabling data collection, storage and transfer to the remote computer. The invention can be implemented as an in-cab scanning system operable with existing in-cab communication systems.
Abstract:
A mounting system includes a cradle disposed in a headrest in a vehicle, and a primary adapter. The cradle is shaped and dimensioned to receive the primary adapter. The primary adapter includes first to fourth lips forming a recess in the primary adapter. The recess is shaped and dimensioned to receive a first computing device or a secondary adapter. The first computing device, or a bezel of the secondary adapter, is substantially flush with an outer surface of the headrest upon mounting the first computing device or the secondary adapter to the primary adapter.
